  1. I think a long series favors the Mets. The Dodgers' starting rotation is weak, consisting really of only Buehler and Yamamoto. The Dodgers overcame that weakness by pitching a bullpen game in Game 4 and Yamamoto stepping it up in Game 5. But this strategy I don't think will work over a 7-game series. Multiple bullpen games will eventually burn out the bullpen. The longer the series goes on, the more the bullpen will be taxed and eventually fail. A short series favors the Dodgers. But if the series goes long then the advantage goes to the Mets.

  2. Time for Payback can not wait to see Ohtani and Yamamoto reaction to the Mets Knocking them out after they used a us for the nice contract they got

  3. Lindor: We’re going to the World Series!
    Ohtani: Wanna bet?
    MLB: nononononononononononono

  4. Noting the payroll has nothing to do with being a naysayer. The point is the mets belong here in all ways, commenting or analyzing otherwise is dishonest

  5. Mets DO NOT NEED to win game one to win this series so Met fans better not jump ship if they lose tonight . I don't even think they need to win game two , I have 100% confidence they will win in the end .

  6. Dodgers in 6 , it’ll be a good series but our team is to seasoned and hungry , we’ve overcome so much pitching wise and our lineup will put runs up on any pitcher, we’re getting to your bullpen I hope they are ready 🎉 💙💙💙 LFGD

  7. Great Broadcast! The only thing I would add to the mix is Mark Vientos stirring UP some Mets Miracles at the plate.

  8. I'm not sure you can ride a bullpen for as long as the dodgers have and not have the Bill come due eventually.

  9. [EDIT: Despite my worries, I should add that this team gives me 2019 Nats energy. So I definitely have hope—although I hope they can avoid 2020 Nats energy next year. 😆] I’m way less confident about this series than basically everyone here. I still think the rotation lacks the swing-and-miss stuff that you’d want against a team like the Dodgers. Also, the Dodgers don’t chase, and this bullpen issues WAAAAY too many walks. No team has ever won the World Series with a walk rate (relative to league average) as high as the Mets’. It’s their Achilles heel, and I’m worried it’ll be their fatal flaw. Plus, I like to keep my expectations low. So I’m expecting Dodgers in 6, which gives me a chance to be continue being pleasantly surprised, and avoid being disappointed. I didn’t expect the Mets to be playing competitive games in the second half, much less get to the NLCS. LGM!

  10. Oh, one thing about the Dodgers only having one lefty in the bullpen: they added Brent Honeywell, Jr. to the roster, who is right-handed, but famously throws a screwball. So there’s that. He’s not a big strikeout guy, though, so they will miss Vesia and his 9000 inches of induced vertical break (seriously, that dude’s four-seamer is insane).

  11. Anyone else wish they record a little bit later, like after rosters are announced?More than half the stuff they talk about in this episode is irrelevant now.

  12. I am a sports fan, first and foremost. Mind you, the LAD offense has been cold, for example, this past series: Otani 4-20, Betts 4-18, Freeman 4-14 (hurt), Muncy 1-18, and Smith 2-16. So if these players remain cold, then NYM have a good shot. If they get hot, then the NYM need to respond and adjust. These four (4) teams remaining DESERVE to be here and as you both know, anything is possible in sports.

  13. How are the Mets the hottest team going into the playoffs? The Padres, Dodgers and the Diamondbacks had a better record in the 2nd half leading into the playoffs.

  14. Whos narrative was do u even want the division anymore? Stupid fans? Not ONE MANAGER thinks or thought that ever. For what its worth 2/3 years of this format the American League went chalk to the Alcs

  15. Enough with all these so called expert we all know that Dodgers is a better team probably will win the series.
