[Sabremetrix] There have been six NHL teams since the lockout who have started 0-4-0 in a 82 game season (22/23 SJ, 21/22 MTL, 15/16 CBJ, 15/16 EDM, 08/09 ANA, 07/08 ATL). Only one of those teams (08/09 ANA) snuck into the playoffs with 91 points. The other 5 teams earned 76 points or less.

All we need to do is win against the reigning Stanley Cup champions. Good thing our bottom 6 improved over the offseason. That should really fool Florida.

I miss the days when the Sabres would start strong and then fall to shambles mid season. At least we had a month or two of fun.
