And of course, he will first and foremost be remembered as the greatest goalie in Avs history, and a key piece in the majority of our cup wins.

Anyway that bridge should be forever irrevocably burnt. He might have more success now, but the Avs certainly didnāt lose out in the end.

9 years later, itās easy to say it was best for the franchise that he left when he did. With his style of coaching, the Avalanche would have never won the cup and MacKinnon would be long gone – he would not have re-signed. We would not have Cale Makar.
