The Edmonton Oilers dropped their third straight match to begin the 2024-25 NHL regular season after falling to the Calgary Flames 4-1 in the Battle of Alberta at Rogers Place on Sunday night. Jeff Skinner scored his first goal as an Oiler, assisted by Connor McDavid, but it was the only offense the team could find and count on the scoreboard. Two coaches challenges derailed the teams’ momentum and they are now 0-3-0. I also touch on the loss to Chicago from Saturday. I think im a little too concerned. 0-3 but really 3 games. We still have 79 games left. But im just a little worried. These games arent even close and our team just dosent look good. A scoring difference of 3-15 against 3 teams were 100% better then is just not good. Im gonna hit the panic button if were like 3-7 through the first 10. But if we are like 5-5 i wont be worried at all.
Was gut-wrenching to watch as an Oiler, but a pretty exciting game of hockey for me
The Oilers don't play there best and as a team till they have to so they will be losing 3 or 4 more games till they have to play amazing like they do, the another problem is they are afraid of themselves knowing what they can do in the regular season of the beginning but yet they hold themselfs back till it matters most.. and when the offense goes and McDavid, Draisaitl, Bouchard, Nuge and Hyman does there part and rolls. This team will keep getting the results everytime

Maybe it's time to send EVERYBODY and I genuinely mean EVERYBODY to the AHL who was in the NHL and the AHL players can be moved up to the NHL.
It's very clear to me that they are either needing their skills developed or they aren't trying.
Maybe the players from the AHL would actually love to play at the NHL level and will make more of an attempt.
I feel sorry for all the good folks who are paying big dollars to go and watch these losers play. There is no excuses for their lackluster efforts, and if they keep digging a deeper hole each game they won't be able to get out of it. I kinda hope it continues so they'll make the big changes that are needed. It's on the so-called leaders to get their heads out of their butts and lead, or trade them. NO EFFING EXCUSES!!! 😡

Darnell f**k Nurse playing passive is because he doesn’t want to get injured so he can collect the full 9.25M salary. He doesn’t care on ice performance at all, no leadership at all. Poor performance. Strip away his “A” and sit him until he waive his NMC and trade for 0 return. ( he has a NMC. Can’t even waive him. Thanks to the f**k Ken Holland signing him to the 9.25M contract).

We just don't have the chemistry as a team. Usually that's what preseason is for but here we are. Felt bad for skinner last night he did a good job, the team infront of him were useless.
