Last night was the 1st game that I have watched this season. Golly! I could see the effect of Treliving running the show. The Leafs could play defence! They were playing a full ice game, even being the 3rd game in a row! Winning board battles, grinding the Pens down!
So great to see. I don’t care about the pp. that will come. The Leafs can defend!
Problem with your Sunday show is that it's never at a consistent time so I have troubles catching you guys when you're live. As far as Liljgren goes we know what he is by now Mike. It's not like he's a 21 yr old defenseman who still hasn't developed into what he's going to be. He's a 25 yr old dman that has a career best 23 pts and is a bottom 5/6 player at best. For all his offensive upside he hasn't really produced. Trade him and open up cap space for guys coming off IR is the only move here.
The season is a dress rehearsal for the playoffs. Dallas Stars will be the team for Liljegren. interested in draft capital or 2025 picks – Mark Leach as the team's new director of amateur scouting gives him the inside track. OEL on first PP helps sell the shot to open up 34 and 88. Knies in front replacing Tavares is needed. He’s a beast. 3 games in ( optimistic ) Great show Happy Thanksgiving boys ! Watching Detroit/Dallas NFL makes it even more of Thanksgiving feel.
The leafs will never win a cup without a #2 centre ice. Just my opinion but we need a true #1 defence men leafs only have B defence men. We need a guy like #77 in Tampa but that will never happen.
The problem I see on the PP is they’re too slow moving the puck. They skate it around and don’t pass enough. The defenders are able to be in good position to block shot or passes. They need to move the puck faster by passing it around and get the defenders scrambling and open up shooting lanes
I like the Leafs much better this season then the previous Marner and all seasons!! I'm not sure why but I just have a really good feeling overall about where they go in April!
We'll be fine with Stoli and Hildeby for now. Don't rush Woll back, I've been enjoying Tanev and OEL on the backend. I wonder who the Leafs will actually get to replace Tavares at 2C as I figure he'll be 3C next season after he signs and Holmberg or Kamp are 4C.
Really would like to see the NHL and LEAFS Stud start to lite it up in goals i know it's early and not to worry BUT I Love watching him BLAST the puck past goal tenders in the NHL

OEL has been a more impactful defenseman than Tanev so far
