The Edmonton Oilers close out their season-opening four-game homestand at Rogers Place searching for their first win of the campaign against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night. Connor McDavid is still looking for his first goal of the season, and Zach Hyman along with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins have been absolute no-shows after three games. Little early to talk about regression if Hyman scores 4 goals in his next 3 games he will be back on a 49 goal pace and that’s totally doable same with mcdavid
I hope things cannot be so bad as they seem right now. I mean, we can even think that the roster may be slightly worse than last year's, but… Difference cannot be so big for the Oilers to have turned into one of the worst teams in the league.
Once top players improve their performance, things will get much better than in these first games. I hope this happens asap, though!

Y'know . . if they lose tonight, I think Knoblauch should send McDavid and Hymen to Bakersfield for a few weeks for "conditioning".
