John Tavares (maybe?) endorses this bizarre $90 anti-electromagnetic wearable device thingy, claims it helps him recover faster from NHL lifestyle

Making this a shitpost and adding “maybe?” because I can’t see anything that legitimately links Tavares to this beyond pressers from this company and weird stock sites. The source here is obviously twitter and my fact checking was just a two-minute Google search.

It appears Tavares partnered with “Aires Tech” in June. It doesn’t look like there’s any polished press. It’s hard to find anything about it because if you search “Tavares” and “Aires Tech,” most of what you get is about David Ayres.

Lmao.

I know professional athletes — most especially NHLers — do some weird and intense stuff to get a competitive edge… but this seems a little nuts, even among some of the most superstitious and bizarre pros, doesn’t it?

At the very least, maybe it’s just an interesting look into this guy’s attitude about recovery.

This is like seeing cupping marks on UFC fighters lol. I’m consistently amazed at how much broscience still exists at the professional level.

Needs any endorsement money he can get to pay the tax bill he has coming up.

These stickers are great for people who want to self identify as psychotic.

The funny thing is if he is endorsing this company, he very likely wouldn’t be the only NHLer that would be into this stuff.

Going to say that he is not actually endorsing them and this is a lie for a couple reasons.

    1) That picture of him is so old. You would think if this was truly a partnership they would provide up-to-date headshots.

    2) The fact that on the headshot he is wearing a CCM jersey is weird. Unless they were given consent by CCM (Which there is no way they were). Any headshot would not include a branded jersey like that.

    3) It would be pretty weird to be so excited to partner with a product that “I’ve used for 4 years.” as the quote says, and never post anything about it on social media.

How does this in any way link to John Tavares.

There is no way this can be true, the whole thing seems sketchy

Add “scam artist” to the list of reasons to get rid of John Tavares in Toronto.

Tavares is dumb as rocks. This isn’t surprising.
