  1. I think one of the bright spots of this game was Hutson's moves like Jagr. What a bright spot on D

  2. Did Lars from Mars get a nice welcome from the fans? I missed the game. He did well by us and he did contribute here for sure.

  3. They need to learn how to play all 3 periods with the same intensity and attention to detail. The second period stretch where they brought it back and went up 3-2 they completely dictated the pace of play. I find there’s always one period in Habs game where they lose it.

  4. IMO I really didnt like the 3rd period D pairings. The goal where Slaf was the last man back both Barron and Matheson were rushing. IMO both D should not be below the hashmarks in the offensive zone at any point.

  5. Pens fan here. 1) Montreal will be fine. Good coach and WAAAY too much talent. 2) Montreal fans were into the game. Lots of noise (and refereeing) from the stands. Nice change from watching a Toronto game where you can hear a pin drop. 3) Montreal missed an easy goal about 13:23 in the second. 4) If you're disappointed in your blue line? Pens will trade you one Ryan Graves for Matheson. (F U R H )

  6. Was there in the Molson Ex zone. I was groaning for three quarters of the 1st period because… NO SHOTS!!! I can't fault Lane "Frodo" Hutson. He's a young player. It's a learning experience.

  7. We are at that point where people are going after Matheson for no other reason than they want Hutson on PP1 and first pairing. Calling him out while totally ignoring how poor to average Hutson was on defence. If Hutson is ever permanently on first pairing we are screwed. He should be rotated around the pairings and match ups, boys a superstar but he's no first pairing D. For the first time in 3 years we have two useful PP units. Same with Barron, he had a better game and was better than Arber but no complaints about Arber because he's a fan fav.

  8. Not just the blueline. Montembeault was exposed with some poor positioning & being too deep in the net. The second Eller goal should never have happened. His angle was off and didn’t challenge enough either.

  9. On the play before that 5th Pittsburg goal, there where 6 pingouins on the ice for like 10 seconds…. could have changed everything

  10. The brightest spot this season has been when having an extra man wether its on the pp or exta attacker they are actually able to hold the zone and create chances which is huge for this team

  11. Goalie goes down shot goes up and it's in.Suzuki gets a chance in front shoots low right at the pads so it doesn't go in.consitently our players are puck watchers everyone watching the puck all the Pens are wide open easy peasy.Don't shoot it at the goalie it goes in a lot of the time sadly we like to shoot low and at the goalie often.
Eller goalie down shot is up and it's in Monty is no different than ANY other goalie they all go down and pray it hits them.
Decisions in our own end have been horrendous FOREVER but it used to only be the forwards now the defense are also making poor decisions.
Hockey can be easy if you allow it to be if your head is down or you haven't been paying attention just dump it out you don't have time to look around and you definitely do NOT do a BLIND reveres pass around the net.
Back to back shifts I saw Matheson do a reverse right onto a pens stick then next shift Hutson did the exact same thing.
So here is a big positive I know people like to only hear the positives.Without looking at any stat sheet imo Guhle has been the most consistent responsible D on the team.So now I have to see if I am right and go look yep he leads the team at +5.
Fast forward 1 game and now Guhle is +6 and the ONLY D man with a plus.

  12. As a Bruins fan, I'm absolutely delighted that The Habs are relevant again…. I miss the rivarly.

  13. You nailed it everyone (Habs only) give an inspired 60 minutes of effort and we make the playoffs

  14. It hit me last night, suddenly Justin Barron, Kaiden Guhle and Juraj Slafkovsky are veterans. They play mature and well.

  15. As far as I'm concerned, The MONTY , COLE, HUTSON dream popped and the HABS showed up last game.

  16. …"but for some reason" (cuts to Josh Anchorson) …"we are not getting full 60 minutes"… Epiiiic 😂😂😂😂
