vladar was just lazy and didnt move quick enough and refs blamed perry for it. ive seen players literally laying in the crease but the goal was fine, perry stands barely in the blue, heels the only thing in it, but oh apparently thats impairing vladar "significantly"? alrightttt
Draisaitl contract was NOT worth it. Oilers shouldve used that money and actually got some good defensemen and a good goalie. What an absolute waste of money and to be paid more then McDavid is just such a slap in the face. Kinda hope McDavid goes to a better team.

Don’t play in the paint, that’s for the goalies, whether contact is major or not is not relevant, if there is any impairment on their ability to tend the goal, it is disallowed

I hate Perry, he’s a clown, but that’s a goal. Maybe if the puck went in in that one second he was in the crease fighting with Andersson before the goal? But by the time the shot went off, Vladar was already in position, he was just screened by Perry. That’s not a penalty though, he didn’t obstruct Vladar’s movement
I kinda get the Perry interference, he was in front of the goalie between Vladar and the puck while inside of the crease, because goal tending is a game of angles Perry inhibited Vladar's ability to get the the edges of the crease to minimize the angles. Edit: some one on reddit posted a bardown article on goalie interference. In it it says that it is interference if you are in the crease and interfere with the goalie in any way, so screening the goalie while you are in the crease is 100% interference as per the rules. So this is totally interference. Going off that if edmonton wants to win they should just stop being stupid. The current game is the same thing, they make stupid plays and are paying for it.
When the commentators are 99% sure that a goalie interference call will go a certain way and it goes the opposite way, we have a problem. Hopefully just early season jitters from the officials.
the oilers need to dish that prick form chicago that they hired…this is bad karma for that. That dude does nothing but cast shade on the oilers and there is no good reason for them to have hired him.
NHL seems desperate to disallow as many goals as possible. That 2nd disallowed goal should have counted; the goaltender had time to reset after the interference.
