Sidney Crosby and Geno Malkin both had milestone nights in one to remember in Pittsburgh on Wednesday night. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!
Man these two are so damn good still, it’s amazing. Enjoy it while you can folks… Sid is probably the BEST all around player ever. How many guys are that elite offensively AND get in the trenches?!
Sid has been my favorite player since he be and a penguin. Partly because of his character and play, and partly because he’s lived a block away from me since he came to Pittsburgh. I’ll sure hate to see him retire and move away. I drive past his house, Mario’s, Ryan Whitney’s old house, and Bill Guerins old house almost daily, and it just feels different when they move away.
Fun little tidbit is that Malkin was the solo assist on Sid's 500th goal. Sid was the solo assist on Malkin's 500th goal. Both their 500th goals were done with 16:34 left of the period.
Growing up watching the Pens, I can't really put a value on how much I love Sid and Geno. However, Geno is definitely my favorite player. I love all his fire, his skill, and his flaws

Ever since I was a kid the Penguins have always had one of the best players in the NHL on their team. IE Lemieux and Jagr NOW is Sid and Malkin.

It sounds ridiculous to say, but I've run into far too many hockey fans who diminish Sid because he didn't play for a Canadian team.
How in earth does a Canadian become a Rangers fan?
As a Sabres fan. This was… painful. Even with basically a two goal handicap the Sabres still couldn't manage a win. Still, Crosby is amazing to watch.
