I wouldn't be too concerned if I were an Oilers fan. They need to clean some things up defensively, and get some timely saves, but, they have generally out-chanced their opponents thus far (and outplayed them for long stretches), it's just not going in at the moment. They could have been up 3-0 in the first 11 minutes. Once the bounces start going their way, look out.
Is Jeff Skinner going to have his playoff drought continue? How can someone play for 14 years and not even get a single playoff game. Stuart Skinner needs to be shipped to a AHL team, he is just not starter material. I don't care about "effort", I care about getting the job done and winning games. Letting in 4 goals a night while no one is over a point a game in a heavy stacked offensive team is going to find you out of the playoffs before they even start.
Man Oettinger really deserved the shutout in this one, he was lights out all night and bailed his team out when they were getting heavily outplayed by the Oilers offense.
Skinner won the cup last year. I'm a Stars fan, but he totally shut them down last year in the playoffs. For some reason Skinner becomes the scapegoat anytime the oilers lose.
Goalie makes the difference for the Oilers…. Once again. Unfortunately never in favour of the Oilers. How do they not do anything about that?!?!?!? Edmonton hasnt had a consistent 'difference maker' in net i forever. And you will never ever win a cup with a decent back-up goalie in net. Skinner is a nice guy. But, he is not a starter. Neither is Pickard…

Let me guess. Oilers outplayed Dallas most of the game but skinner let in some weak goals created by some amateur defensive lapses

What an amazing save from Otter on that wraparound from McDavid. The Stars wouldn't be as good of a team as they are without Jake tending.
