  1. i really really hope Yamamoto gets signed. the kraken were pretty awful this year overall and he deserved a better redemption year than that. hope he proves himself in Utah!

  2. Talk about desperate. Who will Toronto PTO next? Yakupov, Shipachyov, Juolevi? Tell me again why the NHL needs to expand when billion-dollar teams are giving looks to guys who had 9 pts in 38 games and minus-16 or whatever due to playing in a wheelchair last year after neck and spine surgeries? šŸ¤Ø

  3. The habs shouldn't slip slafkovsky, caulfield and Suzuki. Laine on the second line with newhook and datch makes more sense

  4. Is the NFL a reason why the NHL doesn't start the season earlier? They already do all they can to avoid scheduling against football games.

  5. Having NHL playoffs at the end of June is just wrong for so many reasons. They need to shift the season a couple of weeks or more earlier, if for no other reason to not make things so messy for NHL management in the entry draft and free agency. Plus it's summer and people are spending a lot of time outdoors.

  6. I see the NHL isn't too happy about the deferred money in the Slavin and Jarvis contracts with Carolina. Bill Daly said they might want to take a look at it in the next CBA negotiations.

  7. I actually cant beleive Bellemare is still playing. If he plays as well with the Avs as he did last time he will be a plesent veteren addition.

  8. Because of the cap, the only way the Avs could add Marner is if things donā€™t work out with Landy and/or Nichushkin. I hope the aforementioned two DO work out, but time will tell.

  9. I would love to see Bellemare back in burgundy and blue, but heā€™ll have to prove heā€™s able to steal himself a roster spot, or itā€™ll have to be a two-way contract, because the Avs have no cap wiggle room.

  10. I used to be a huge Patch fan before I found out what heā€™s really like.

I do miss the days when he would open up the scoring on the Leafs every season.

  11. NHL doesn't want the cup finals to compete with any NBA Playoff games, so they will play it at the same time the NBA has their finals.

  12. As far as moving up the date of the Stanley Cup Finals, I think the NHL should go back to a 2-3-2 format and potentially schedule games on back-to-back nights for the homestands. Us diehard fans can appreciate the expediency, casual fans can appreciate some defensive lapses from fatigued teams, and I'm sure owners will appreciate saving travel costs.

  13. pachoretty is nothing but a case of pucks….should have spent the money on recruiting viable players, not an idiot.

  14. Marner to the Penguins! Heā€™s friends with Crosby and he knows Dubas and Bunting šŸ™ƒ

  15. ā€œThe wet coastā€ thatā€™s such a terribly nonsensical nickname for a region given how the only portion of the west coast at all that receives rain is solely the Pacific Northwest. Meanwhile the entire East Coast is dominated by rain routinely throughout an entire day to day basis yearly throughout every single season. Seattle being labeled as the rainiest city in the U.S. is an ultimate lie given how itā€™s New Orleans that receives the most rain and the rainiest cities in America are all East Coast cities, hurricanes literally never occur on the west coast. Seattle is only viewed as a city of rain because itā€™s the only city on the entire west coast that experiences rain meanwhile the entire East Coast says hold my beer.
