He’s lost a step in his agility. No doubt about it. But he’s no longer the captain and if you limit his ice time it might do him well and he’s not the go to guy for the media anymore. The leafs are playing for a cup, whether or not you think this team is capable of that is irrelevant. They’re playing for a cup. As such, JT isn’t going anywhere and he’ll probably stay in Toronto after this season on a much lower salary which will help this team a lot.
Leafs aint selling they are going to make the playoffs and no other team looking to make the playoffs will trade enough to even acquire Tavares. Tavares is not going anywhere.
