  1. I would say the worst free agent signing has to be Skjei. Sure, Stamkos isn’t doing great right now, but they have to overpay Skjei for 7 more years, unlike Stamkos who has 4 years left.

  2. Until the Jets do it in the playoffs, this start doesn't mean anything. Just like Jets fans continue to think winning 52 games and allowing the fewest goals was good enough last season. This team looks good when playing well, but once they hit adversity, they fold. They've lost 10 straight playoff games following a loss.

And the Oilers should have matched for both Broberg. He gave them speed on the backend. Now, the the rumors are they're looking at guys like Giordano (41) and Shattenkirk (35) to improve the blue line. Makes no sense.

  3. I'd quote Ross Colton on the big surprise list. He's always been a more than decent very useful player ok, but 6 goals in his first 6 games ? One could've bet on that for Caufield and even for him we'd have rated that bet as pretty wild. But Colton ? No way !

  4. The jets are a good team but playoffs is something else doesn’t matter how many you win in the regular season. playoffs are different look at the bruins going crazy and setting a record for the most wins then come playoff time…..

  5. Hey remember when the Jets looked like a power house of the west going into the playoffs that many people predicted could actually win the cup, or at the very least go on a very deep run? Pepperidge Farms remembers. They could go 82-0 and it doesn't matter, the playoffs you're all set to zero, and with how awful they dropped against Colorado last year, they have a lot to prove, and only in the playoffs can they do that.

  6. Stamkos can play 16 Min a night on PP1. Marchy I'd no Kuch. Don't forget Point. Stamkos doesn't play C anymore but might as well have him C Filip and Gustav.

  7. Appreciate your confidence in the Jets, but you have been covering hockey for years and KNOW that the Jets usually start out well. Many of the REAL Top teams are re-jigging and experimenting, etc… so they start off slow. The Jets lineup is virtually unchanged. The other teams will get it together and heat up and then it will look like the Jets are falling off / struggling, but in reality they just aren't an elite team. The Elite teams will figure it out and get it together and the Jets will limp into the playoffs and bow out in the first round like usual. BTW, I'm from WPG, a Jets fan for life, but it's the reality of a team with very little grit and substance. A lot of skilled players who just can't hang with the BIG BOYS. 😵

  8. Nashville needs to have a team concert trip be cancelled by management then they'll start winning again! 😁

  9. Should the Red Wings drop some of the more veteran d-men and have the prospects play the season? Like Buium and Sandin-Pellika

  10. Jets have an "easy" schedule, as Jets fan i looked at october and only 2 games worried me. 10-2-0 is possible but not because the Jets are good, just who they play. Lets see how the mid january plane crash goes, this team has hurt me too many times for much optimism. Still mad they are not playing the kids.

  11. sorry my question is a little late but what do you think the penguins are going to do with Tristan Jarry? I feel like Blomqvist has done enough to earn the starting role and Ned isn’t healthy.

  12. I'm not quite sold on the Jets quite yet. They've had some impressive wins, namely Edmonton, but I'd like to see how Winnipeg does against Colorado and Dallas before I pass judgment.

  13. As a Jets fan, I'm not sold on them yet. This is an ongoing theme for the past 2 seasons, crushing it to begin, then slumping near the end. Everytime they are challenged they back off. If they can have a season where they don't falter in the 2nd half then I would be sold on them.

  14. Biggest surprise: Jordan Eberle with 5 goals in 6 games
Biggest disappointment: Stamkos. Or Jeremy Swayman.

  15. Jets fan here, I think anyone saying our record is what it should be is right, but we don’t control our schedule so you play what you’re given. I don’t think we are a 1st round out, I also don’t think we win the cup either. Have to wait and see I guess. GJG!

  16. The season is a marathon. All 32 teams will have their ups, their downs. They will all slump, they will all win. The main thing is to keep an even keel and skate hard every game. To stick to your structure when down 3 goals. To out compete all your opponents and play your game better than your opponent plays theirs. – When your team makes the playoffs, they are Stanley Cup hopefuls. Go Jets!

  17. I am a Winnipegger and I love the jets, but come on, eventually they will lose a game or three, and when that happens, I'm sure lots of people will lose their sh*t, start calling to fire Arny, Chevy, the goalies, all the forwards and the zamboni driver. Lets not set unrealistic goals for people playing in a punishing game, and lets just enjoy the run they are having.
