history suggests Torts should be fired sometime this year. He's in the third year of his four year deal. You'd have to go back a long time to find a coach the Philadelphia Flyers has kept around for four complete seasons. Even Laviolette wasn't here for four complete seasons (his first season he was hired in the middle of and his fifth season he was fired 3 games in) Maybe the way he's handling Couturier is him tryng to get fired? I am ok with the rebuilding process, but getting rid of Carter Hart was a massive step backwards.
Can I just say that if you go to see a hockey game live and you yell out 'shoot' than you are a moron.

Jett will get sent down to juniors after the 9 game 'preview'. It will be better for his development in the long run. Can't make sense of the Couts situation. Lots of rumor speculation that Cates or Laughton will get traded, which screws up the center position depth chart even more. The most pressing issue right now is the lack of defense. Risto & Zamula. despite their size, play like marshmallow puffs. Can't have 2 right-handers playing together, Johnson ( with his 5 bad turnovers ) is holding back Drysdale. Collectively they are bad on clearing the zone, even worse with ill-advised cross-ice passes. And moving up into the offensive support rushes are slow to develop. Can't blame all this on Seeler's absence. And why in the hell did they bring up Andrae, only to sit on the bench ? He can't do any worse. Mitchkov looks like the real deal, with his speed, strong shot, & quick creativity for teammates to shoot. But they have TO HIT THE NET. This nonsense of missing HIGH N WIDE almost 60+ percentage of the time is ridiculous. Shots being blocked & goalie stops are each at about 20%.
Too many right wings IS a problem, but NOT ENOUGH NHL caliber centers is a bigger problem. Coots should be 3rd line. Poehling, Cates, and Laughton should be 4th line. Also Tippett needs to hit the net or move down the lineup and have is minutes cut.
The flyers are really a bad team. Its gonna be a long year…..Ersson is a bad goalie and he is the best we got OUCH
we can only trade for a bag of pucks sadly, we have plenty of pucks if you are gonna talk about trades talk about how can be traded for what, and you don't because there are no options. No cap no trade options. No one has been good enough for trade. If someone does come about and is amazing and their trade value goes up, do you save that to trade up for better 1st round picks next year??
