Utah vs TCU feat. Andy Brown, Cal Beck, & Mark Oberg – The Extra Point #34

Andy Brown is joined by Freedom Bowl MVP Cal “The Rocket” Beck and super fan Mark Oberg as they break down the disappointing loss to the TCU Horned Frogs at Rice Eccles Stadium Saturday night. The crew speculates on Coach Kyle Whittingham’s future as well as expectations for the remainder of the season. Stay tuned for our next show following the Houston matchup next week!

  1. Maybe the low-point of Kyle's tenor as head coach. The loss to ND at South Bend in 2010 after getting steamrolled by TCU the week before was close but, that team didn't even hv the talent or expectations this team has. Back-up quarterback has always been a serious issue, now it's a definitive and glaring flaw. I don't even hv faith in Wilson being the #1 quarterback come next fall so, unless this staff brings someone that's impactful in vis-a-vis the portal, the same serious flaw will be ever-present in '25! The sad thing for the Utes is, their problems the last few weeks hv been more than quarterbacking!

  2. Great Show! I kind of feels like our Big Bro is Provo is getting ready to dominate the rivalry (football and basketball) for a while. Let’s just hope it not 35 years… Again! GO UTES‼️

  3. Last year, this year and going into next year Utes are definitely trending down. At the end of the day it all falls to Whitt and I believe he knows this. I am having a hard time believing Whitt would just walk away now and dump this mess into the lap of the next head coach who has never been head coach.

  4. Love the comments at the end, I agree. Love the Utes, always will. There is no quit. The pain of this season is a reminder that winning should not be taken for granted and to appreciate the winning of past seasons.
