Saturday, Florida trailed the Islanders 3-0 before Sam Reinhart got the scoring started; Matthew Tkachuk made it 3-2 with the first of his two goals.

Mackie Samoskevich tied the score late in the second with his first NHL goal.

Tkachuk, Sam Bennett, and Gus Forsling all scored in the third.

Spencer Knight ended with 26 saves.

  1. Maurice doesn't get near enough accolades. The degree with which he knows the game is immense, and his success in Florida is proof of that. he's also probably the best coach in the league at dealing with media, and while that doesn't equate to success on the ice, it's a big part of the job. He excels at his job all around.
