  1. Fans being honest with themselves know that Howe is never going to turn this around. We've been on a downward trajectory for at least a year. It's obvious now that he is a one dimension manager incapable or unwilling to move away from his preferred system, even when it has obviously been worked out by every team in the league.

  2. If Howe is still here by January we need to make sure that recruitment is handled by Mitchell and the scouting department (Nixon). We don't need the next manager to inherit any more "good English lads" that can run fast.

  3. The best teams progress by selling their best players every now and then. Eddie doesn’t want to sell ANYONE EVER which is why he will NEVER win anything and we are standing still, he refuses to sell anyone incase “it disrupts the mood at training” even though the mood is already rock bottom because of Eddie only wanting Guehi or NOBODY in the summer. Get him GONE!!

We got CL with Willock at LM and Joelinton LW but nobody puts the question to Howe.

  4. Hate to say it but think we might need a change of manager before it is too late we have become very very predictable and stale and before the games even kick off you don't fancy us to get a result

  5. I want Eddie to do well but he doesn’t seem to see the same things that the fans are seeing. Mediocre seems to be acceptable to him.

  6. We're not a mid-table side. We could get relegated this season. Eddie Howe is on the verge of being sacked. Ten Hag gone

  7. If you finish 7th, dont strengthen and sell a couple of players youre likely to end up lower in the next season. The centre backs are both slow – we need Botman back and that right centre back. The players are not digging in. Theres no plan b. I dont think weve ever had a creative midfielder – great on the break but not much good at breaking down deep defences. We need to buy before we get better!

  8. Sorry Adam but all those things didnt just happen in the summer, the club knew what was coming. Queen mandy leaving the club with a 70m psr blackhole, no wonder she got sacked off.

Howes post match comments were very bruce/pardew. He's completely risk averse in all aspects of football and its costing is now.

No one mentioned the fact that Eddie seems to be the only manager in the prem who would rather have 2 keepers on the bench rather then a younging.

  9. After Arsenal we are 25% of the way through the season. Ten Hag is sacked so they’ll get a bounce. Alarm bells should be ringing. That midfield should be one of the best in the league and it is being grossly under utilised.

  10. There's been so many mistakes from all levels at the club since the summer of 2023. We had a huge opportunity that put us 3 years ahead of schedule. The opportunity has gone now. We need to do everything that we can to perform in the cups and just hope that Mitchell can rebuild the squad. If Howe doesn't like the fact that Mitchell won't target english players and ex-Bournemouth players, then so be it.

  11. I said after the summer window that Eddie has been set up to fail. I think Mitch wants to give the cash to a Poch calibre coach. 🤷

  12. Away games vs big six clubs, not including cups –

    Liverpool 2-1 Newcastle
    Man Utd 0-0 Newcastle
    Tottenham 1-2 Newcastle
    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle
    Man City 2-0 Newcastle
    Chelsea 1-1 Newcastle
    Man City 1-0 Newcastle
    Tottenham 4-1 Newcastle
    Liverpool 4-2 Newcastle
    Arsenal 4-1 Newcastle
    Chelsea 3-2 Newcastle
    Man Utd 3-2 Newcastle
    Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle

  13. Ten Hag was given 200 million pounds worth of new players in the summer. It works out as a net spend of 100 million and that looks a big error on the part of the decision makers. I think this will be food for thought for our owners, do they really want to give money to a man who has been taking the team backwards pretty much since last December.

  14. Groundhog Day tactics. Other teams know exactly what to expect. And it’s unimaginative stuff.

  15. Either Howe needs time to get his players. I can’t see him getting more out of our players but then again who will.. or can..

  16. Watched the season prediction on tf and I was creased when I heard the 3rd and 4th place predictions! Everyone strengthened in the summer apart from us. I’m hoping January will kick us in a bit if we get any decent players in. Then we could possibly finish 7th ish. But if no investment in Jan we are fucked this season

  17. Subs are shit though so we can’t blame EH really. He is probably thinking what’s the fkn point of bringing longstaff, Murphy or Kraft on! May aswell stick with the knackered 11 players, we may aswell not have a bench! And Osula is raw as fuck, he is no way ready for prem yet.

  18. Ten hag gone if howe doesn't buck up he will probably be next. All this hype about being a top 4 team forget it that was a fluke. If he keeps playing his favorites we will be changes places with Sunderland they will come us down. The players are also to blame if they want the accolades they have to earn them. And if they even beat Chelsea wednesday its still not good enough because even the lower teams will beat us in the league.

  19. NUFC are a load of rubbish this season. Too many people overpaid and under performing. Thank F we didn't blow £70 on Guehi. That would have been the end. Isak just doesn't look committed to me. Bruno is not the right guy for captain. We need a real leader of men on the pitch and he isn't it. I think at Chelsea a draw would have been ok. But I don't rate Chelsea in that game, and there is no doubt that Newcastle are on a heavy downwards trajectory. Also, side point, but Longstaff needs to stop being a child, man up, and stop taking yellow cards for needless chat back to the ref, it's pathetic. Save the cards for necessary sacrifice yellows, not gabbing at the ref.

  20. A third of our squad are second raters and we all know who they are yet there they are always in the squad. And thats the simple answer.

  21. Didnt help palmer havin all the space to score didnt help isak stinkin out the place either that decision thst remibdin me of saint maximin

  22. I can ask True Faith a question wheres the True Faith? Yh were near bottom this manager saved us from relegation he deserves time these players are to blame who marked palmer yday its dogshte

  23. Adding Tonali to the midfield has caused many problems to the team, Barnes and Gordon on the same side is also a issue and no right winger Murphy and Almiron very poor for this level and adding Osula was utter pointless

  24. The longer things continue unchanged we could actually be in danger of relegation, which is crazy to think given where we were just last season when we destroyed PSG at SJP. Owners need to take swift action if we lose these next few games or we could be in real trouble…a top 6 finish at this time seems like a pipe dream.

  25. Fuck me lads, we’re not great but not that bad. I’m absolutely not happy with the results and performances but people acting like we’ve fell off a cliff just isn’t true at all. I’m starting to feel like we’re becoming entitled as a fanbase now and it’s pissing me off. We are years behind the top 6 in terms of team depth and quality, just like we were when we got 4th. Results went our way and there not at the moment but ok bring in a new manager and there going to do so much better than EH? Get real man muppets

  26. Our ‘once in a generation talent’ is struggling at the moment. Got a tap in and credit him for being in the right place but….😉

  27. Too many of our better players are not performing is in reality the whole squad haven't played well all season, name one players if you were a scout watching us right now you would think would improve a PL team and your talking no one bar the bottom 3 or 4, the fact non of us can point to a clear solution is the by product of Howe offering nowt in the last 18 months, we cant fall back on set pieces, tactics, subs, formations, dark arts, motivation not one of those is there which stinks of a dressing room not playing for the manager. There is no leadership from Bruno on the pitch he's a perfect PR image captain and top top guy, not sure he's a leader made for a PL dressing room (so that's another play hung out to dry by Howe just like Burn at LB, not starting Barnes etc). Were looking at hard reset on the project Bruno and Isak sold thrown in with the existing Guehi money for a new manager.

  28. Huge problem in defence is 3 of the 4 in the back line are slow AF.
Tino is the quickest but he is off at the mo. If Tindell is the man in control of our defence and the techtics there then that is a problem. Decision making is crazy by Schar trying to take out Neto. He could have got sent off if he caught Neto for the first goal. He should have ran him down to the corner to allow burn to get back in ro defend the cross against jackson and narrow the crossing area which brings pope into play. Just zero football awarness…Schar again to blame for not closing the space on Palmer that allows him to shoot. Again defensive issues.

  29. Any team with Dan Burn, Sean Longstaff, Miguel Almiron and Jacob Murphy in the squad is overachieving to be mid table.

  30. We should spend / fu*k ffp rules – take a 10 point penalty & push on. Half our squad were playing under Rafa ffs! Where’s the progression? I think Eddie has done as much as he can now. I’d be very surprised if the owners aren’t considering their options now – there’s too much at stake not to.
