  1. We’re Bruins fans… Torts just beat our team tonight, and yet we’re here because Torts is magnetic. Absolutely love him. Would love to see him win the cup he deserves.

  2. A win like this pretty much proves they can play with any club in the league. Just gotta be consistent and put the same effort against the Blues on Thursday

  3. It looks like they aired alot out in the team meeting now lets go boys WE REALLY NEED TIPPET TO START SCORING

  4. Obviously this Moron can't see out of the pop bottle glass he's got….They stunk….The Bruins stunk…People paid money to see that garbage….The Flyers are going nowhere with this Idiot behind the bench……When are these teams going to stop recycling this.Buffoon….🤡

  5. (this may be long… sorry. And again, I'm an Avalanche fan)
Glad for the W, great work by the team! Torts is glad for his team while knowing they're still working to get the kinks out of the water works! Torts, the coaching staff and the players are gettin it together! Happy to see this!

They played to their strengths and MOST important, overall much fewer mistakes and miscues.

Looks like the team is starting to gel and "play in fives" as one unit as referenced by Torts at the end of last game and again here. Their BEST play tonight was 5-on-5.

Great scoring chance in the first 2 minutes — The team is HUNGRY to play and win.

Won the face-off battle 30-21. Cates/Poehling/Couturier doing a great job on the dots.

We're still low on Shot attempts and Shots-on-Goal… need to work up those numbers.

This honestly looked like the best 2nd Period play for the Flyers so far this season. They played well, positioned well, sustained offensive zone pressure, scored, drawing penalties on a great play crashing the net, and giving up only one penalty.

Neutral Zone play was much better tonight, both on the PK and 5-on-5. Great pressure OVERALL generating turnovers and retaining possession. This pressure generated the 1st goal of the night by standing up to a stretch pass during a change at their own blue line with Foerster on the great finish off the centering pass from Andrae.

Penalties are still not great for the team for 5 tonight, one of which gave a 5-on-3.

Great PK after being 2 men down in the first, with Ersson stepping up as the 4th man on that PK. Even though they gave up some bad penalties, and too many, the PK stood strong.

Physical play appears to be on the rise, albeit slowly. Seems the players are gaining confidence in themselves and each other on their lines and that's producing a bit of good physical hockey. But as a team, we need stronger play in front of the opponents' net. Too many times I'm seeing the Flyers get brushed away like lint. We need some stronger net-front presence from everyone.

Um… the Power Play. We all saw it, it was some of the sloppiest play they made all night with only about 20-30 total seconds of sustained offensive zone possession. Needs some work for sure. Bad neutral zone play, bad passing, turnovers, gave up multiple short handed chances and short handed zone time. As an outsider, it almost looks like the players received a gift they don't quite know what to do with and are tip-toeing on egg shells not wanting to do something wrong, and then doing everything wrong. Tonight, IF — BIG IF — IF they did the same thing they did 5-on-5 they might have won 4-0.

Ersson: Great shutout buddy!! You stood strong and you were the 4th man on the PK when you were 2-men down in the first. You even got some AMAZING puck luck (shoutout to Torts) in the 3rd period! Number one star for me!

Foerster: Great forecheck, great physical play, great scoring chances, good passing, and a FABULOUS goal on the dish from Andrae! You played well and glad to see the positive play is spreading and you're up at the front of the pack!! Star Number Two for me (tied)!

Andrae: GREAT assist from the boards in the 2nd Period for your first NHL point!! CONGRATS!! Great patience and awareness seeing the play develop and protecting possession. You were willing to take the hit (that never came) and made a great dish to Foerster! Anyone could have eaten off that dish!! Other than the assist, the backcheck was outstanding, GREAT physical play, and playing that "offensive-minded" defenseman paid off great dividends for the team. Star Number Two for me (tied)!

The ENTIRE team (including the coaches)… the progress is showing… the WHOLE team gets Star Number Three for me!

  6. Any word on Drysdale? Did he stay in it? The kid got hurt. But stayed in the play and showed the commitment to stay and help the team with the win. Which is what we need to see. Great dub Fly guy's. Onto the Blue Notes and a better month of hockey. So much to be appreciated and thankful for. Let's keep fighting. Pitt has lost six in a row. Climb the standings!!

  7. I love how even fans of other teams like Torts, some of them here in the comments 🤝

  8. The players sucked (grand total of 14 shots half way thru the 3rd period) but a miracle happened and the goaltending saved them.

The good news is that Atkinson isn't doing jack in Tampa and neither is Cutter in Anaheim.

And Sean Walker has been a flop since he left Philly.

Last year was all about superior conditioning. Now its back to "who gives a shit".

  9. Can someone actually name a player that Torty has successfully develop other than Sanheim and York? Thats his goto "Look what I did"

This guy is in Vigneault mode. Doesn't care.

Trick or Treat on thursday night?

    Trick. Blown out i predict.

  10. Torts Rocks! The transition appears to be working. Slow and steady wins the race! GO FLYERS 🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒

  11. that was their best defensive game by a mile, however if they dont turn the puck over in their own zone they dont need to block shots or leave their goalie hanging. they need a lot to clean up in order to get better

  12. These guys are more enjoyable to watch (instead of the lousy lame Flames) im an islanders fan, But they are sucking right now. But these flyers are getting my attention. Nice work.
