There's no cap space to sign him. Not to mention we have zero assets to trade for another soft player. He's not the missing piece even though it would be fun to watch him play for us. We need to sell players and build up, not buy expensive players that are soft. Sell palms and brock and get this rebuild going because we're not winning anything anytime soon.
I don’t think these two teams are a fit. But the Ducks are very weak at RHD. So they would ask for Dobson, which I imagine would be a no from islanders fans.

At this point, unless you get a bonafide top line player or top pair d man just work to fix your bottom 6. It’s too expensive and doesn’t have enough bite. No one drags us into the fight. I’m not saying we have to go Sean Avery level but we need more players will play like they’re fighting for every inch of ice up to and through the whistle. We’re too easy to play against and have too much $ tied up in the bottom 6.
They can't get offense out of their first line or any of the defensemen. Pelech and Pulouck make a ton of money and have done nothing. Pageau needs to be traded or bought out.

We are in for another painful period…similar to the way what was during the 90s. We have ZERO assets and one viable prospect in our pipeline.
