Jeff Jackson is an idiot. Perry, Henrique, Skinner and Avridsson what a bunch of plugs. McLeod, Holloway, more goals than all 4 of those guys combined and just 1 more point than Broberg. Lost Lavoie, Nurse is on the right side, just the dumbest moves in the off-season not to mention the disgraced Stan Bowman. Not winning the cup.
Signed a bunch of old men that want to win the cup off the backs of Connor and Leon. Should’ve signed the young guys instead of signing a bunch of guys you sign at trade deadline for depth.

You guys are dreaming if you think either of these call ups will make an iota of a difference. If the veterans don’t pull together and play more intense, detailed hockey, they atre doomed.
I read that Liljegren was traded 2 minutes before it was brought up so that was funny 😅
As I said at the time, Oilers should have signed Holloway. I knew they couldn't sign Broberg. Mcleod was no loss at all imo, And no way they could pay Vinny the money Van is. I'd have taken Foegele back for up to 1.3 mill, but not more. And that left Holloway as the only player left to sign. Not signing him for 2.1, was really stupid imo. I said so Before they signed to the Blues, so this isn't said in hindsight.
Skinner is a backup. If Oilers have a starter, it's Pickard. As For Nurse, if he isn't paired with a solid vet who can give him audio direction on ice, he is a liability time and again. Oilers will have to "DIG IN!!!!!, Dig the F IN!!!" with McD out. Lets now see what they are made out of.

Seriously leave Nurse alone. He’s only one person who fights for our team. After Connor got hurt at least he tried , the rest of our players just quit as in the Captain got hurt don’t wanna play. Yes against the Blue Jackets just Nurse and Stu Skinner tried to do their best!
IMO, Nurse needs to play on the right side and he has to focus on making better passes while moving. He has to be harder to play against and lean on every forward that enters his reach. Get ahead of the play and make the fight for the puck harder. Podkolzin needs skate net front harder and bring more stop and start motion to his halfway game. He's got burst so use it to attack angles. More mid-zone jaunts for the defense, sneak in more regularly.
