Panthers Sweep Trip In New York! The More Composed Bunch in 5-2 Win Against Buffalo

s return to the lineup. Florida got their game going with how well they were able to break out the puck and get in transition, tone was set by the new third line of Luostarinen-Lundell-Boqvist, getting the first goal of the game, and then scoring again less than a minute later on the power play. Buffalo got the game tied with two goals in less than two minutes, but the Florida was able to not allow the Sabres to capitalize more when Sergei Bobrovsky made the save of the game on Owen Power shifting to his right without the goalie stick, and just moments later, Florida took the lead and never surrendered it. Monday night brought lots of nastiness from the two teams, where the referee’s let the teams play for the most part, but a lack of composure drew a lot of stick penalties, including a game-changing penalty on defenseman Rasmus Dahlin getting Anton Lundell up high resulting in a double minor (one of them cancelled out with Jesper Boqvist going to the box). Florida was able to capitalize with Dahlin in the box to kill any chance of a comeback. Bobrovsky is now tied for 13th all time in goalie wins, with a chance to crack into the top 10 at seasons end, Sam Bennett is on a five-game goal streak, Verhaeghe with a seven-game point streak, and the Panthers are coming in hot as they will now make the long flight to Finland for the global series.
