The Winnipeg Jets are the best team in hockey and they looked like it on Thursday, beating the Red Wings 6-2. Detroit played fairly even at 5v5 but simple mistakes ended up costing them on each and every goal. Alex Lyon also had his first rough game in a while, letting in several softies from the point. The Power play got working though, as Larkin and DeBrincat convert. Maatta was traded to Utah, but we’ll talk more about that tomorrow. #LGRW

These are not simple mistakes, but rather a lack of preparedness and skating skills. Also, Charot has now become the leader for opponent goals against the Wings this season. He has now scored three goals against his own goaltenders. Yikes!
Stick with it some players need more production you really have the pieces to the puzzle JUST SKATE,play defense Sharp passes,dont quit boys,dont point the finger just watch film at correct your mistakes… nobody knows who is going to win the cup this year… Winnipeg is 9-1 they can get one injury and start a skid down the hill losein streak besides i dont see the jets as a hard playoff team…but come on Detroit…kane & Larkin need to call a TEAM MEETING.(

Maatta for a 3rd rounder next draft. How about Petry for a 5th founder instead? Give up an older d-man instead of one who can't hold onto the puck. Stick with Maatta even for one year instead of another full season with Petry.
Someone needs to be fired. How do you not talk about Maatta getting traded at least for five minutes but talk to nauseum about this current dumpster fire. I'm grumpy and need coffee I will see myself out.

Fire Lalonde, I said it last year,I'll say it this year the dude is a horrible coach and Stevie we needed defense and goal tending. You didn't address it at all, every free agent you got is cooked. This is an awful hockey team, the penalty kill,the power play, puck possession, goal tending and defensive zone turn overs have gotten worse. What good is dump and chase when you can't keep the puck in the zone? Another year of non contending hockey. The last few years they made the playoffs they weren't contenders, so realistically its been over a decade since Detroit has seen a good hockey team and yet the ticket prices go up.
The team showed no heart in the third period. Looked like they didn't even care.
