Sure, trade him and why not also Makar and Rantanen? That would be "Stan Bowman Stupidity Trade" when he traded Panarin for Saad and gave away Teravainen for nearly nothing. The Avs should trade Girard for a bigger and cheaper d man. They should have kept Burky and Naz with gentleman's agreements. They gave up those two and get Horvath? Give me a break! Why lose Burky or Naz? Love Kyle's idea with Byram and Newhook. 👏👏👏👏👏
We are 3-0 against Nashville this season. If we can get more division wins we can make the playoffs. Lets go Avalanche

Trading JTC would be absolutely stupid at this point. He is providing crucial minutes and is our best Faceoff guy now. He also is proving that he can handle the increase in Ice Time.

I wish we had never traded Chris Drury. He was gritty and a winner and a clutch performer.

Another loss in Vancouver after a 2-0 lead and the frustration is mounting . Missing pieces ? Yes, but there is a team there that can still win games. Turnovers ,especially in their own zone kill these guys. What's the answer ? Tank and hope for Bedard? lol. For a while they were "Finding a way" to win now they are finding a way to lose .
Bo Halvat will be tought trade, but their future is now, Avs got a ton of their talent lock in for a while, so Newhook and Byram isn't of the books. But the value might come cheap with the potential they can offer. As for me, it be Girard and JT, I know, that the Avs knows what they be giving up and Vancouver knows what they're be getting. I think Avs can easily replace a 4 or 5 defenseman, and easily trade for 7 depth defenseman. JT would much hard to replace, but with a healthier roster he'll slide to 3rd line minutes. If the Avs were to take JT $3.5 and with Girard at $5, that's 8.5m to sign Holvat, which maybe actually $7.5 to 8 he probably will cost, plus add in bridge deals to Byram (a future Toews replacement) and Newhook (future depth/goalie trades). Vcr would take an hockey trade, where they have been offered up prospects after prospects over time and not get value for what's coming back. With few of their stars locked in now, management maybe got 1 or 2 yrs for playoff window and another massive rebuild again with prospects in Holvat deal.
