  1. Sorry about the minor issues with this show. I don't know why my mic was an issue and there is a slight video glitch around the 11 minute mark. I hope you all still enjoy this show. – Eddie

  2. You have had a lot of great shows but this one tops them all. Excellent one. Continued success. Bob Miller like. GKG 😊

  3. Jim is always such a great listen. He really knows the game and his takes are always spot on. We're lucky to have him.

  4. Wow, this was a great show. Seeing him almost tear up when he talks about Quick especially got me.

Nice work Eddie getting him outside his broadcast environment and asking some great questions. Also, I think those questions were great at setting up another conversation for later in the year.

In addition to that, we all love Mr. Quick for so many reasons but you could tell that his determination even makes guys like Jim Fox have a lump in their throats when talking about what a special American athlete he has been.

Thanks again for putting the time in to get all the guests you get on the show and as usual the questions were spot on!

  5. Excellent interview with former player and Kings analyst Jim Fox. His historical knowledge of the LA KINGS history is amazing. Very excited to see both you guys speaking about the KINGS.

  6. Congratulations 🎊 to Canada 🇨🇦 on winning the gold medal 🏅 and way to go for Clarky and good seeing Foxy on the show GKG 👍😎

  7. I'm not happy Fiala made All Star especially given him letting in that ENG haha. I'd like to see him playing with Kupari and Vilardi. Lizotte does not belong in the NHL is trash. Gabe draws the most penalties but having him with two guys with over 30 PMs don't work. Kupari has Chemistry with Fiala getting his production going while Vilardi does too. If they don't score they will take a penalty or letup a goal. Kupari plays bigger unlike a guy 5 feet who can't score 20 to 30 goals or belongs in NHL. Bustfield major reason lost to Bruins with his -2 no clue how to play wing or cover anybody. He wont make it at center either. Blake Lizzotte can't even win 50 percent of faceoffs when would need 54 percent to justify playing him. Bustfield falling down its rough to see. Guy has no clue how to cover in own zone is always the dude doubled up.

I'd really like to see Jeff Carter get 500 Goals. So I know how its like hoping Quick can get most Wins for American Born Goalie. He would have to play like another 3 years way things are going. Copley just been half decent but people already want to build him a statue. He would cost 1 to 3M to keep at age 31. I can't see him getting 3 years 10M. Do you sign the guy 5 years 10M hehe. I'll say 2 years 3M for 1.5M cap? Could let him walk. He really don't make any saves beyond expected its just exactly mediocre and average. Quick I don't know his style was not going to age well like wine. He relied on Agility and Quickness. Would be out of position or overly out of Net. I'd rather have Kempe along with Kupari guys like that over Lizotte on PK who has no skill or ability. He takes bad penalties its like Matt Frattin out there. Trade for Bjugstad who can be PK/PP C/RW with 6'6 skill size only on 900K contract. Man imagine him between Vilardi along with Fiala or even Iafallo and Arvy. Even could have Arthur with Bjugstad and Gabe hehe. Problem is Lizzy Burden along with Kupari along with Bustfield all tend to win less than 50 percent of their faceoffs. Out of them at least Kupari has aspects in his game where you can compensate. He has the most upside out of those three to be C/RW productive player. Made mistake not taking K Miller the LHD but its not as bad as taking Byfield over Stutzle hehehe :).

I don't like that Moore contract especially if playing Bustfield at wing when have vastly better option there. Byfield is defensive liability who can't setup or score goals. Liability on the PP not to mention in own zone or other zone. He takes bad penalties does not use his body or size having no stick. Its like when a player has no stick anytime he is playing. TMac will be gone for sticking with guys like Lizzy Burden along with Mediocre Mikey. JAD just has not a shred of talent as Kupari setup for what should have been easy goal. Constantly he was setting up plays but guy just had nobody who could score like Fiala and Gabe. I think those same plays would result in Goals playing with them. Kupari would score 20 goals if that line remained together long enough. I liked him on the PK a lot more than Lizzotte who is just a waste of money and space. I"m just glad the CAnada teams all struggling or would be in 4th or 5th. Kraken I think will get ahead of LA with all those games at hand. Keeping Vilardi with trash Lizzy Burden along with Kupari with scrubs is attempt to lose production to pay them less money as RFAs. TMac would have McDavid playing with Blake too. Kelley Hrudey Greatest Kings Goalie in History :). IF Quick played when he did it would be worse than his numbers now :). To be Fair outside of Edler its not like anybody on Kings blueline can clear players. Mediocre Mikey couldn't even check Pavelski leading to an easy goal by Dallas Stars. You get older your reflexes go its just part of reality sadly. If he played a standup style or had more size it might help. Jeff Carter Won Two Cups for Kings along with Justin Williams. JQ was subpar in the 2014 run unlike 2012 when he was MVP so :).
