I think the reason guys like Suter & Erne are still on the roster, is they have potential value at deadline. I think someone will be interested in Erne at trade deadline, and for them to have value, they have to be playing. Also, Elmer being exempt from waivers makes it an easier decision. I'm pretty sure Elmer is back before season ends.
Getting Bert back may get Raymond untracked.

With all of the injuries and with Vrana in G.R. This could be a blessing in disguise. To me, this upcoming draft should be Detroit's final rebuild, as long as Larkin re-signs. If Detroit, continues to struggle and with the other teams in their division continues to rise. It's best for Detroit to aquire a top pick in this very deep draft. If Detroit gets lucky and is able to move up in the draft. Let's say, from 12th to 2nd overall. Detroit would be able to draft a #1 Center, in either Leo Carlsson or Adam Fantilli. To aquire a prospect of that talent would complete Detroit's rebuild. If Detroit is able to draft Leo Carlsson in this upcoming draft, Detroit's future depth chart line-up could look like this several years down the road:

It was about the only move they could make.Zadina needs to go down too not to work on his game he needs to go because he's a bust. If Bertuzzi can get going that' s a big boost.

Honestly, the wings showed this year we've taken big strides. We have a great young core but I say tank the rest of the season. Bring up Edvinsson let him get some time on a pairing with Seider. Let's tank a bit to get a top 10 pick in the draft, then trade up thinking 10th pick -> 2nd or 3rd pick, include the second round pick of this year plus zadina and maybe Erne or a veteran that a team would want to help teach their young players. Get us a true 1A/1B center. Imagine if Larkin was our 2C. Depth down the middle wins games, and that's the area we still lack the most.
When you have do gymnastics to keep Adam Erne on your team, your team SUCKS. Period.
It's gonna take months for the two players to be 100%.. This season is over. Wings have to find players that have passion and want to win.
Elmer needs ice time, he can't be a healthy scratch. Get him ice time in GR. Suter and Erne need to go, so tired of seeing them shoot and miss the net. I think Erne is only here for the PK. I don't know why Suter is still with the big club.
