Atta boy, Mo! Not gonna see many positive defense scores when you let in 5, but Mo was still excellent tonight. Nice to see Raymond above him too with the relatively uneventful season he’s had to this point.

EDIT: While I’m at it, Fabbri has played much better than he has any right having played only three games back from a third ACL surgery. I didn’t totally write him off, but I had a hard time seeing an easy route to minutes of consequence for him with Perron and Kubalik added to the roster over the offseason. Early returns are positive for him there.

Starting to think the chiarot contract was even worse than I thought it would be

And certain people want to claim Chiarot is simply a scapegoat.

The “trying to rationalize” the Chiarot signing needs to stop. The guy is a pylon and the contract is one of the worst in the league.

Where’s that shotawhatever guy that always says chariot is awesome and just a scapegoat?

Lucas Raymond is a perfect angel boy who can do no wrong

I’m well aware that Chiarot was on the ice for 3 goals tonight. That generally will put you at the bottom of the list. If you want an actual discussion, go back to those goals and tell me how Ben Chiarot caused them.

If you just want to be smug, at least take a look at the other dark blue bars on this graph. This was a team failure on defense. Hockey is a team game. Fuckin’ hell, I wish there was a hockey IQ test this subreddit could take.

Absolute proof that Chiarot is an anchor. The dude is so bad that half this sub thought Seider was in a slump. They stuck him with Walman – a player who can actually pass – and suddenly Mo looks like the star he’s always been.

Meanwhile, Raymond is out there forechecking and defending vastly better than last year while on pace to put up the same offensive stats as last year and this sub acts like he’s in a slump.

If Seider and Raymond could carry the team the rest of the second half then our future looks much brighter

Can someone explain this to me like I’m stupid?

Like, logically, how can a stat labeled “Offensive Impact Above Average” be in the negative? Shouldn’t it be “Offensive Impact cf. Average?”

(p.s. – It’s because I am stupid, but don’t let that stop you)
