Just got home after some pretty intense rain. Despite how difficult travelling for tonight was, this was worth it. Best winning experience I have had in person since opening night last season.
Such a fun game to watch! This rivalry has grown since McCryBaby has been in the league. Oilers playing dirty again & the Kings made them pay for it. I sure hope these two teams don’t have another playoff match. It would be a great series but no one would survive. Oilers would’ve gone to the finals last year if Kings didn’t beat them up so much, imo.
Holland better plan to trade either Draisaitl and/or McDavid if Edmonton do not make the playoffs this year. Oiler is an imbalanced team, but then again not surprise at all since both players eat up the majority of team's salary cap. If Holland is an able GM during salary cap era, build a strong and formidable back end and a bonafidegoalie, but you have part ways with # 97 and/ or # 29. That is quickest route to retool.
This is going to be a much more fun playoff run for LA. Getting 2012 vibes here.

I really enjoy your late night broadcasts. Gives me something to look forward too, even if my team loses.
I think its really telling how the Kings have now beaten Edmonton in the typical Kings style with the 3-1, more system based game earlier, and now a track-race Edmonton-style game. Defense is looking a lot better, and the offense can go toe-to-toe with basically anyone.
Holland should be finally able to see that some changes have to be made. If there is 2 cards missing from the deck, no matter how much you shuffle the cards, there is still 2 cards short of a deck, so are the Oilers.
They need stronger defense. not juggling players that have proven that they cannot fill that role! 1 player isn't gonna make a difference! 2 defensemen and Kane may be enough to turn the season around and an example has to be made to tell the rest of the team to shape up or ship out!
Finally, bounce Puljujarvi out of the roster and use him as a bargaining chip to get a defenseman.
The Oilers played marginally better without him on the bench during the penalty imo. Just like they did when he was put in CoVid protocol last season.

Kings fought back tonight. A really great sign. This team is beginning to show that they are a tight unit now and won't let teams run them over.
A few months ago that wouldn't have been the case. Look out NHL. LA is coming into their own now.
Imagine having McDavid and Drasitil on your roster and still be one of the most mediocre teams in the league.
If the Oilers nosedive in the playoffs they have to start thinking about a rebuild. They could get insane return on trading McD and even Draisaitl now that they are both on top of the league. Doing nothing is A DECISION that people take when they have no idea what to do.
Fiala is seriously an amazing pickup and Copley is playing great! Loving this team! Shannon do you like the kings now since most of our main roster from our cup run are basically gone?
Oilers have the most PPg's and PP's called for them this year. Skate by McDollars and it's called for phantom wind. The PR in the league says, owe we can't blame the refs, it is what it is. Just taking orders from the top, orders, hmm. Plenty of video evidence. Almost 1/3 of all Oilers goals from the PP. Look at the stats people. But they're still just fighting for a playoff spot. Not on top, getting by. Just tank it, go for Bedard and wait another 20 years.

Louis Debrusk is grating to listen to; all home broadcasts I realize have to have a bit of a 'homer' feel but he's just a whining toddler. NO penalty against the Oilers can possibly be legit, and how DARE the opposition not get more penalties called against them. WAhhh wahh. Oilers and Flames are trying to outdo each other in futility and it may cost them both the playoffs. Serves them right.

It’s amazing what adequate goaltending has done for this Kings team. Cal and Quick were putrid over the first 30 games. If Copley keeps this up, the skies the limit for LA.

I know I'm their harshest critic, but my Oilers are terrible!! Period! The team Ken Holland has assembled is an embarrassment to the history and tradition of the Oilers.
Softest group of players I've ever seen in Edmonton. They are simply NOT a TEAM, just a collection of players with different talent levels all doing their own thing on the ice.
Can't wait to see what the genius Holland does next. LOL

Bustfield can't get it on net or score much less create plays or pass haha. Kings could not even get the dual Hat Tricks with Fiala and Kempe. Vilardi finally got passed after playing with Lizzy Burden who was -2 in this game. Though to be fair one of them was from Fiala with a bad giveaway nothing to do with Gabe or so. I heard QB was in the quiet room but ESPN kept having his ice time go from like 2 seconds back and forth. Then he finally returned as was at 7 shifts haha. Edmonton is not a Playoff Team Without Evender Kane. I think mistake was Jack Campbell should have started against his former team. He played well enough to win. When play like a 5'6 225 guy going to get injured. Chromiak does variants of Michigan pretty well :).
As an Oilers fan I’ve already moved on from this loss but man the officiating was really bad last night but ultimately the game came down to special teams and we did not do enough with ours.

I don't get to watch Edmonton very often but it seems to me that if they don't get PP goals then they usually lose due to a mistake prone defense and shoddy goaltending. McDavid is awesome but he can't play defense and goal on top of what he already does for them.
Kings one of the best teams for goalie development under the tutelage of Quick.
