We’re midway thru his 2nd year. Development is fun!
Mercer’s a treasure. I love this kid’s play. He’s a rare “rogue” (ie, an offensive dagger) in the NHL… does stuff that looks like it’s low odds but makes it work. These are the kinds of players whom have big nights in the playoffs in those games you need “an edge”. Absolutely untouchable for me. He was a draft steal that year.
I am still shocked he fell to us. An absolute lucky pick for us that others should have drafted.
He’s Coleman if Coleman broke out in his young 20s.
