You guys should do a 3 team GM fantasy draft season in nhl 23 n see which one of you is the best GM
People don't understand how good Gaudreau and Tkachuk were together, especially at even strength. That line tilted the ice for the majority of the shifts they took last year until the 2nd round of the playoffs. Huberdeau and Kadri are no where near replacements. The fact that they put up similar point totals in career years on much better teams last season doesn't mean anything for the present day Calgary Flames.
Also yes Sutter is bad. Has been for a whlie in Calgary in my opinion but it was masked by the strength of his former top line, which he no longer has, and some very good goaltending, which he apparently also no longer has. We're talking about a guy who voluntarily kept putting a Zadorov-Gudbranson pairing on the ice against Connor McDavid and then sat down at a press conference and said that 1 guy beat them.
