The Nashville Predators lost a close game against the Toronto Maple Leafs last night on a late power play goal. Despite an outstanding performance by Juuse Saros in net and a highlight reel goal by Filip Forsberg, the Preds ended their four game win streak. Nashville also recalled goaltender Yaroslav Askarov from the Milwaukee Admirals yesterday, but will fans see the young goalie’s NHL debut any time soon?
Nashville lost for the first time in game four of their five game road trip last night against a Toronto Maple Leafs team that was without star Auston Matthews. Goaltending was excellent from both Juuse Saros and Matt Murray, but it was a late penalty that ultimately cost the Preds at least one valuable point. On today’s Locked On Predators, we share our “one word” to describe the game and try to decipher what the takeaways are from this game. Can the Predators rebound tonight in their second game of this back to back when they face the Montreal Canadiens? We’ll give you our two keys to tonight’s matchup. Nashville also recalled young goaltender Yaroslav Askarov from Milwaukee yesterday as a “precautionary call up”. We’ll tell you how likely it is that we’ll see Askarov in gold any time soon.

What is YOUR one word to describe last night's loss to Toronto?
The only penalty that mattered was the last one. None of the other ones were relevant and the last one was obvious and was the game winner. No reason to complain.
Great show! Along with Mathews out, the Leafs top defensive defenseman was also out! T.J Brodie. I just dont think that it was the Leafs top lines out there. Sure it was a good test but not a true test! Toronto is much better than they showed.
