* Legendary soccer goalie, Petr Čech joined the team in practice the other day and joined the broadcast in the 3rd. He’s friends with fellow Czech goalie Petr Mrazk
* Lafferty scored on a breakaway.
* Athanasiou seemed to overskate a breakaway, but managed to roof a puck over Francouz.
* Raddysh scored a tap-in, after cross-ice passes by T. Johnson and Toews.
* The Hawks successfully challenged for goaltender interference on a would-be Avs goal.
* Hawks’ PK went 5-for-5.
* Tank report:
* The Hawks have won 3 straight, without Kane.

The Avalanche have been very disappointing this season. 40 games into their season, they are currently SIXTH in the Central Division, and four points OUT of a playoff spot.

Like I said in the gamethread, I know we’re supposed to be tanking for Bedard, but it’s still fun to watch this team play well every once in a while. This was a great, fun, exciting game!
Also, thrilled that McCabe got the #1 star. He’s been one of my favorite players on the team this year.
