It’s like Seider turned it on out of know where. One game he was making slow moving plays slow passes after the lane was shut. Now he’s turning it on it’s almost like chiarot is like a anchor for sieder to stop doing what he does best. Which I’ve tried my best to not hate chiarot but he is a loose cannon out there never know where he is gonna be 5 on 5.

Also Walman has taken a very encouraging step which I thought he would this year just wasn’t getting the opportunity. I thought it was odd we signed that extra ld to money and term. Not like we won’t be able to move on in a year and a half someone will take him if we attach a 2nd to him unfortunately.

I tried looking at this as a stralman type of signing in Tampa for hedman but stralman was serviceable at that 5mil price on a top pair. Like I said chairot is a loose cannon 5 on 5.

    Loving Walman’s confidence recently

Damn that’s hot. Need an emergency zaboni pass.

Yeah, cuz this is what it’s like for your star defensemen to have a competent partner. That it took almost half a season to staple chariot to the bottom pair is moronic.

Feels like Mo and anyone who isn’t Chiarot.

Seider has chemistry with literally anyone except Chiarot.

Watched it twenty times now and it’s more beautiful each time

Edit: sexy how walman just knows where seider is going to be

Edit 2: also autocorrect kept wanting seider to be spider. Maybe a potential nickname, not sure

Seems like Cherry needs a partner to defer to him in most situations. I think Hronek may be better at that now, but ideally, if they could find a RHD (*COUGH*Connor Murphy*COUGH*) who wanted to stay at home and knit bandaids, our current defensive corp would be pretty good:

(Pairing rank or number don’t necessarily matter, because they’d all ((hopfully)) be legit)

    Walman – Seider

    Murphy – Cherry

    Maaaaaaaaaatttaaaaaaaaaaaa – Hronek

Then when a kid comes along, we re-evaluate.

I mean, doesn’t that seem like a pretty nasty, skillful defense?

That moment stood out to me because it’s the kind of puck movement the Wings were capable of regularly, back in the glory days.

I honestly think any decent NHLers can string together a sequence like that, it’s just a matter of how your team is positioned at that moment. There’s a reason we see movement like this so rarely now. The Wings just don’t play the same style of hockey. But I’m sure our entire team could make passes like this, with the right coaching.
