Boston Bruins Prospect Fabian Lysell Disappoints at the IIHF World Junior Championship

In this video I talk about Boston Bruins prospect Fabian Lysell and how he preformed at the IIHF World Junior Championship for team Sweden. I also look at Lysell’s impressive season with the Providence Bruins and his career with the Vancouver Giants of the WHL. Lastly I give my thoughts on the Bruins calling up Lysell over Chris Wagner to replace the recently injured Jake DeBrusk.

  1. He didn't impress me. He's at last 2 years away from having any chance of making the Bruins. Did he play in the bronze medal game? Right now I wouldn't be surprised if he was used along with a draft pick before the trade deadline for the Bruins to strengthen the team before the playoffs.

  2. Why in the world would they bring him up and stick him on the top line? He needs a lot of work on his game if he has any shot at the show.

  3. I believe he’ll be a good player for us but after 0 points & a big hit in a bronze game I’m kinda iffy about him not for future production but just playoffs in general

  4. It’s good to see you back.Happy New Year. Our Bruins are on 🔥!Whats your outlook on our season so far?

  5. I wouldn’t worry. Admittedly I didn’t see much of his play during the tournament, but if he’s not being used in 3v3 OT then the coach clearly wasn’t using him right.

  6. Wagner call up is due to the West coast trip. Lysell was still at wjc as of yesterday. So no chance he's joining the team for a call up on this west coast trip. My bet is that he'll return to play Jan 8th then when Boston returns home he'll get his shot.

  7. I didn't even notice him in any of the wj games. But is numbers in prov are great. I am not worried. Honestly would love to see a video of bruins prospects that are having a great year. a check-in on all the prospects. great video! Hope to see more soon

  8. Nice to see you back here again. Lysell looked like he wanted to be anywhere else than at the WJHC, that being said in the 2023 deep draft, if we could get a top 10-12 pick for Lysell I would consider it, depending who would be available.
