Via Bob Stauffer, we apparently have an idea now as to what the San Jose Sharks trade price is for d-man Erik Karlsson, however, it’s really gosh darn high.

Let’s discuss.

  1. Massive Sharks fan here. As much as I want that to happen, they'll never get 3 1st for Karlsson. My guess is they'll get a 1st and the equivalent of a late 1st, early 2nd. You said it. Back end of his career huge cap hit and he's not reliable on defense. Doubt Edmonton is the place for him too. They are more likely gonna go towards a more defensive defenseman. Edmundson maybe? Great vid btw 💪

  2. A different angle- and question for sharks fans- IF he's traded- who is next in line as the incumbent ppqb?? Every team seems to have one dman who can add 20 or so pop as the main pp threat on the twam. Long term maybe its Merkley but short term I actually think it can be Benning! Is that crazy??

  3. 3 1st round picks? LOL. Doesn't really matter if he's the best d man right now. He's 32 and has a 11 mil + contract. Most teams can't even afford him even at 9 mil.

  4. Three firsts if they retain 50%, maybe. But I guess you have to start high when you negotiate
