Would’ve been nice to pad the Goal Differential by a bit in case playoff positioning comes down to the wire but a win is a win, and a regulation one at that.

There’s not a team in the league that isn’t guilty of taking their foot off the gas when up 6-1. Doing it against the best third period team in the league is a recipe for disaster. Boys held it together long enough to get the W.

I stand by what I said, the flames played a decent 3rd period. Dallas was throwing everything on net because they were desperate. Much like everything was going right for us in the 2nd, they were getting all the bounces in the 3rd.

In the 3rd its not like the flames were even sitting back either; there were two shifts where they could’ve made it 7-2 but some players were guilty of over passing, likely due to the lead. Then of course flames killer pavelski pulled 2 goals out of his ass and the game totally shifted.
