I feel asleep after the Okhotiuk goal, but just saw the highlights. Blackwood put up a stellar performance last night and stole us that game.
Fell asleep after we went up. Feels pretty good to be able to do that calmly nowadays lol
FYI Jack Hughes is in 8th place in points, and he’s younger than everyone else in the top 15 by at least three years.
I think it’s time we figure out a way to sabotage the ice maker at the rock so we have to play all of our games on the road.
Horrible game at 5v5 for most of it. We got owned when the Kings were on the PP. Even the pps they didn’t score, the Kings were electric and had opportunities. I know we were on a b2b, but we are lucky we were playing against Quick who looks like he’s no longer an NHL goalie.
But we can’t be on our heels like that for basically the entirety of the game. Blackwood had a great game and bailed us out.
I don’t get it. Why haven’t we waived Blackwood yet? He sucks and can’t be trusted to win anymore. We NEED Schmid, the guy who’s started 10 NHL games in 2 years, he’s clearly the solution at backup.

okhotyuk is the kind of player this team has been missing. dude is a monster and can hold his own in his own end. I thought he should have made the team out of camp and he better not get bumped out of the lineup now with Marino coming back soon.
also we got a good coin flip from blackwood tonight. lets see if that actually means anything or if he returns to his same old unpredictable self before we start praising him
The depth scoring coming alive is huge. Hughes wasn’t very noticeable and still had 2 assists – I think he might be good!! Also Wood and Smith are having a competition for worst penalties. Big game from Mack. Really hope it’s the start of something there as this is the kinda game that builds confidence – he stole that win

How does everybody think the revamped lines looked? I know it’s not exactly what a lot of us have been posting the lines should look like. Obviously these lines won us the game, but do people think they actually looked good and should stick to them or were they lucky? I was only catching parts of the game.
It was interesting seeing both Palat and tatar with Hughes. But glad to see Shango in the top six and Haula on the third line. Was haulas goal after he was moved to the third? How did foote look up there?
