  1. Two of those deals were well received by this sub. And the other is a good signing.

    Boeser had a poison pill QO that killed his trade value, and everyone expected a bounce back year given the circumstances. It was reasonable to sign him and getting the value under 7.5M was already a big ask.

    Mikheyev has lived up to his contract thus far in my opinion, and his speed/two way ability are important features that we need more of in the lineup.

    Miller is the big mistake. I wouldn’t lump in the other players with him, as they’re entirely different. He’s signed through his mid 30s which is the big problem. In general though the cap flexibility is largely because we have $13M in a defence pair that’s dropped off the face of the earth. It’s almost impossible to make up for that.

    Mikheyev is a good contract. Boeser is a contract almost everyone liked

    Millers is a contract i wouldn’t have signed

    Also Jim Rutherford:

    * Says our team needs “major surgery”
    * “We’re not looking towards a rebuild it’s more of a retool.”

    Retool isn’t what I’d consider “major surgery.” What path are we taking here Jim?

    Myers, Ekman-Larsson, Dickinson, Pearson, Garland, Ferland, Holtby/Virtanen dead money, Boeser bridge deal. That’s what he’s talking about.

    One day I have a dream that this team won’t have anchor contracts anymore n

    I like the mikheyev signing. He’s not a fucking pylon and actually backchecks

    Why are people hating on the mikheyev signing ? He’s a good player, works well with team and most importantly plays well defensively
