Nathan MacKinnon & Colorado Avalanche Hammer the Red Wings | Alex Nedeljkovic Assigned to Griffins

Nathan Mackinnon and Cale Makar put on stellar performances as the Colorado Avalanche hammer the Detroit Red Wings weak defense 6-3. Ville Husso started the game but would not finish. Poor reffing was a facotr in this one but let’s face it, Detroit just can’t compete with this caliber of team yet. Alex Nedeljkovic was waived and Robert Hagg activated, finally putting to bed the 3 goalie discussion. Previewing the Arizona Coyotes. #lgrw

  1. This is going to be a long roadie..
Coyotes beat the Wings 9-2 the last time they played..

But, hey Copp scored his 4th of the year to make it 5-1.. which was meaningless

and then he gave McKinnon a free pizza breakaway goal.. 🤦‍♂️
So.. how did he play a good game?
You guys stroke him off like no other.

and Charoit scored his 4th of the season to keep up pace with Copp..
    lol

  2. I think we are going to have to extend the rebuild. I just don't see it with this core. I don't know if Larkin has the leadership capability to motivate this team when things are tough. Listen to Copp versus Larkins post game interviews. Copp seems actually affected by these performances and frustrated. Larkin gives the same old basic message.

  3. I had to go to work after the first goal by Colorado and the failed challenge, but I could tell that early it wasn't going to be that good of a game. They need to stop clearing/icing the puck when they get pressured in their zone. They are NOT good enough in the faceoff circle to be having a defensive zone draw against a team with momentum against them. Not to mention it's just better to be able to handle the pressure and break it out of the zone. That goal happened because Colorado won the faceoff and set up quick on them. I don't think the challenge was bad I could see where the wings were coming from especially with Osgood explaining it, but I agree also with him that the linesmen made the right decision.
