It’s embarrassing
That 3 on 3 needs to stop
Don’t know what to say. This team has delusions of mediocrity. We’re that bad.
Here I was thinking at the beginning of the year that we were a playoff contender. We’re looking like a late entry into the Bedard sweepstakes now. What a mess.
Man I hate shootouts
On a positive note Seider has looked so good these last couple weeks.
So yeah.
Probably should embrace the tank.
Something has to change. This is pathetic.
At least we could help them end their 9 game losing streak. That was nice of us.
And you may find yourself at 11:45pm on a Tuesday night watching the wings lose against the coyotes in the shoutout
And you may ask yourself, “Well, how did I get here?”
Honestly this team looks just as shitty as teams of years past. That was a must win game and they blew it. Disgusting.
[As is expected of a team going 57-17-8](https://www.reddit.com/r/DetroitRedWings/comments/10duqrq/post_game_thread_detroit_red_wings_at_colorado/j4ncxpz/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
Wanted that W for Hellberg. I thought he played well all things considered and he was incredible down the stretch. Either way, the actual hockey portion of tonight’s game was very entertaining. Most important takeaway is we need someone, literally anyone, who can finish.
Between this and the Blue Jackets loss, it’s hard not to feel like there’s something seriously wrong with this team now. The wheels have come off.
Alright, we lost a game in a shootout against a team that’s built to not win games. Should have been an easy, winnable game with no surprises whatsoever.
Bedard! Fantilli! Smith! Carlsson!
In all seriousness, we desperately need a franchise forward to go along with our franchise D Seider
Becoming very discouraged by OT this year
Bummer of a finish by the boys after a pretty great first half with nothing to show for it
Nothing beats staying up late to watch your team blow a 2 goal lead to a team that lost 9 in a row that you out shot 2-1 as well… awesome
I need to find a trash can to kick.
Don’t anyone bring any glass half full bullshit in here tonight, Columbus and now Arizona, this team is terrible.
Honestly I’m just glad we got a point out of that. The last few minutes of regulation looked *bad*
We need to learn how to finish. And I know just the person to help with that

Lolololol. We finally have a game where we dominate most of the game offensively, and play solid defensively and this is the result.
Just one of those games that almost leaves you speechless. So many shots but few of them connected. Very little puck luck. Gave a shitty team way too many chances and yet again didn’t commit until the 3rd period. Ugh
Adios Magnus. Ned, welcome back.
Hellberg is a beer league goalie
Can’t give up two goal lead late to that team. We were all over the spectrum tonight. Poor hellberg also getting a bit exposed in the SO. Whatever, will take a point from JV Arena and move back to real facilities next time.
Every year, without fail or reason, there are teams we just struggle with. This year, it’s Buffalo and Arizona.
Embarrassing.

This is the pain of mediocrity. We’re not good enough to consistently win and not bad enough to look forward to a Bedard possibility.
Hellberg looked so stiff in that shootout.
Great, now I’m too grumpy to go to sleep
20 seconds of possession during entire overtime
0 goals during the shootout
Loose to ECHL team in a college rink
Experience red wings hockey
Fucking Christ. 3-1 lead. Defeat was snatched jaws of victory yet again.
As we all know, the most dangerous lead for the Wings is literally any lead
Just lost to the worst team in the league, and since Christmas we have looked like the worst team in the league. Rebuilds aren’t linear I know that but this team is boring AF and has such a loser mentality, cannot close out games that they absolutely should be winning. I’m almost in the camp of trade every Ken Holland draft pick TBH. We need like 3-4 more high end players and I’m expecting this rebuild to take 2-3 more years after this one until we are a playoff contender.
It would be nice to get a save in the shootout, but you cant win without scoring
Is there anyone in the locker room even motivating this team to play better? Collapses like this are all too common this year….
I’m sorry but if this is our core we’re never winning a cup, might have to start accepting that. I love all these players but collectively I just don’t see it. Call me fairweather, idc I call it like I see it
When you get absolutely clinic’d by a team who hasn’t had a single **point** in 9 games and is actively throwing their season away for the draft. Vibe should be super fun in YMCA locker room.
We have had 1 game this calendar year with a goalie save percentage over 900%. The Toronto game, thats it, thats the list.
We would be in a lot better shape if we could at least get decent goal tending and I think that will change in the near future.
Ras might murder someone tonight
