Last year the Panthers were the top team at comebacks in the 3rd. This year they are the worst 3rd period team.
I was ready to shut the game off. Samsonov turned the whole thing around and Willy outscored our defensive and power play problems.

They did their best to lose that one. Weird, 9 mins to go in the 2nd, Leaf O-zone time 9 mins to Fla at 4:32, shots 25 to 9 for Toronto, yet down 4-2 through their own stupidity in their D-zone & Murray unable to bail them out. Verhaege's goal an inch under the bar on a clean look. Super hard to stop. A ref pick on Marner helped. Marner at fault on the 2nd. Fumble at the point, then quit skating on the play. Shameful effort frankly. Had he gotten up & hustled back, I think he catches Lundell who cashed Barkov's rebound for an easy goal. Mahura's 3rd goal, despite the commentators claiming it was a clean slap-shot, actually clipped Kerfoot deflecting it up about 4-6 inches & just under the cross-bar, far post. I honestly can't blame him on that one either. Barkov's 4th goal was also just under the bar blocker side, again hugely difficult to stop & he was partially screened. They are still turning the puck over in all zones way too much. Samsonov was excellent in relief.
Sheldon doesn’t sound healthy . Struggling for breath and sweating , wiping his brow a lot . I am genuinely worried about him …
