Anthony Richard thought he had scored, but the referee said that he hadn’t. The horn sounded to signify a goal and most of the players stopped playing, but the play continued and Condotta put the puck in the net. After a lengthy video review, the refs ended up awarding the goal to Condotta. It was a shorthanded goal at 10:03 of the 2nd period and it increased Laval’s lead to 4-2.
