From now on, can we have miller in net instead? maybe then all our problems would be solved

  2. mrtomjones

Just want to thank whomever got post game highlights back in. Love it

  3. helixflush

sharks got an empty netter!! 5-3! The tank just got secured even further.

  4. Great tank night with Ottawa and San Jose winning and kuzmenko’s parents saw him score.

I am not a genius when it comes to strategy and tactics but maybe don’t go down 4 to 0 to the defending Eastern Conference Champions in the first period. Also nice job to the fans chanting tank and sell the team.

  6. nite_awol

we are only 2 points ahead of SJ and we haven’t fully embraced tanking yet lol.

  7. MikaelDerp

Our next two games are against Colorado and Edmonton, if everything goes well we could possibly fall below the Sharks within the week.

I thought the anthem singer absolutely killed it. Everything else was sub-meh, no way you could live up to such a strong start.

Hope I’m wrong, but the Canucks can’t keep this up. They are leading the league in tanking this week!
    Man this is exciting

    Quinn Hughes beauty goal ✅
Another loss for team tank ✅

  11. I got a tiny bit worried after 4-2 goal. Glad to see boys pulled it off at the end.

If they can keep up this trend of making games pretty entertaining but still ultimately losing I think thats the best possible outcome at this point.

Is del zotto still playing ? Maybe we can get the tank cap for horvat

  14. Bolias-Horvatsson

Outplayed them and still lost, that’s what we like to see😎

  15. so glad i bought a skate jersey at the team like that opener, these ones are UGLY (especially with the td patch, holy shit that’s bad)

  16. goldenmellowmelons

2/4 on the powerplay with 39 shots on net and we still lose. Imagine if we had some defence!

So, any guesses to when they turf our boy Bruce? The worst kept secret about Tochett is everywhere, I feel like they must be chomping at the bit to end it. Maybe next loss?

I’m fully in the tank but I don’t like how it’s playing out for Boudreau.

As an aside, that beautiful goal by Hughes is a perfect example of how the drop pass on the PP is supposed to work

    Bring back Mark Donnelly

    He inspires

Marie Hui is OK but Mark, man he is a legend.

well, I’m just wondering who’s gonna be the OG back up goalie if/when Demko returns. are they just gonna keep Martin

  21. Emergency_Wolf_5764

Whether they consciously know it or not, the Canucks are now definitely “tanking” at least as far as the standings are concerned.

In terms of goaltending, Spencer Martin looks like he has either forgotten how to play goalie, or he is already exhausted due to not being acclimated with the workload he has been given since Demko got injured on December 1st.

Delia has played far better than Martin, especially as of late, so probably best to keep giving Delia more starts to help build his confidence going into next season, unless the plan is to really tank by continuing to start Martin for the remainder of the season.

It’s unlikely Demko will be back anytime soon anyway, and the reason he had a “procedure” over the summer was because of the insane workload he was given last season because his backup Halak couldn’t stop a puck and the Canucks were desperately trying to make the playoffs.

I would give Demko as much rest as he needs and give him only a handful of trial games down the stretch to help him get dialed back in for next season.

The Canucks have some skill up front, but their entire back end is toast, at least for the remainder of this season.

A major rebuild is required, but Francesco Aquilini seemingly doesn’t understand that concept as it pertains to his hockey team, so expect to see more tinkering and “re-tooling” which should result in more of the same mediocrity that Canuck fans have come to expect.

Also, congratulations to Steven Stamkos for scoring his 500th career goal, and doing it in style by scoring a hat trick in the process.
