The New Jersey Devils lost in overtime to the Seattle Kraken. Despite Mackenzie Blackwood’s strong performance, the team just seemed to have run out of energy. I think playing on the west coast for a lengthy period of time finally caught up to them. Nathan Bastian finally returned after being sidelined for weeks with a shoulder injury.

Devils need to come out and play for the full 60 minutes. Lindy is right on in his post-game comments. Right now the Devils are their own toughest opponent. Great short handed goal by Erik Haula. Ridiculous no-call by the refs. The refs should have called Interference when Oliver Bjorkstrand tackled and knocked over Mackenzie Blackwood. There are other horrible no call examples. Any given Sunday in this league I guess. Tampa, and Edmonton beat Seattle this week. Tonight Edmonton beat Tampa. Make of that what you will.
I stayed up and watched a west coast game for once!! And absolutely right, anyone that blames Blackwood for this loss did not watch the game. The team were not good for the most part, I’ll gladly take a point out of this game
Blackwood did very well, he saved so many shots! The Kraken had the puck most of the game and once again the Devils got sloppy at times when they had the puck. It's a game they could have won.

I'm sorry but Blackwood played meh. First two goals were short side top shelf cheese. He dropped way to early, bad goals man.
I’m tired of hearing about Blackwood being traded. I will be extremely disappointed in Fitzy if he makes that decision. Vitek is having a decent season but by no means is he a rock. We need a big goalie with great fundamentals and that is Blackwood. I’ve watched him every game and he is a better goalie, period. If we trade him you can expect to leave playoffs in first round, if we even get there.
Blackwood both won this game and lost it. OT goal sums him up perfectly. Makes quality saves during the game too. He continues to make it hard to like him. LGD!!!
