Right now I think that we have to consider trading Yamo. He is injured too often (as mentioned on previous video's). He has only 2 more assists (and the same # of goals) as JP and costs more but plays a lot less. Yes, I know he's popular but I think he has to be considered for a move. JP as well, don't get me wrong. We need the Cap if Uncle Kenny is going to make some moves. Foegelle has been flying out there but his control when flying (puck control) is, ah, not great (lol).

Shane Gostisbehere is an offensive D….we already have Bouchard and Barrie, i think for the playoff run we will need more defensively sounded guy, bigger and tougher to play against in case of Nurse or Kulak injury, On the right at least you have big Vincent…i do agree that someone on an expiring contract would make the most sense…also i trully believe another bottom 6 forward with size would be great. Reaves type of player.
With Kostin, Janmark, Desharnais and Campbell wow what a change we look awesome. We could still use some defensive D help (Gavrikov, NOT Chycrun we don’t need another offensive D), and put Puljujarvi on waivers so we can get his cap space cleared (I’ll be shocked if anyone wants to give us anything more than a late round pick for him; if someone did we should jump at it as long as we don’t retain salary)

Toews would be good for when oilers really need to win a face-off also be interested in Patrick Kane because he definitely is a big game performer and oilers could use that in the playoffs. For defense it be awesome if we could get a certain Swedish defense man from the sharks to wave his no trade clause and come to oilers. That is where we are weakest we don't have that elite defenseman that would raise the already good offense into a great one. I do like the way Tyson Barrie been playing this season but he isn't on the elite level
The team is in need of a more shut-down than an offensive Dman. The most logical choice is Gavrikov as he is big, mean and a Left shot. Gost and Chychrun are good D, but don't fit as well. Both would cost too much in assets and are more offensive PP guys than shut down PK guys. Toews would be great for leadership and experience. Lafferty would be for energy and depth. He's would be like Foegele, but on a much lower salary that could be fully buried in the minors if the fit isn't there.

Sound defensively, physical, not the puck mover Gost is, buy he’s not bad. Rumor is a 1st is the floor for him…wonder if a 1st and Jesse could get it done? Sounds like several teams are interested in him, though, so could be a bidding war.
Those 3 you listed for trade targets are actually a lot better than giving up more assets for 1 Top player. I mean there’d be some assets to trade but the asking price for Chychrun is crazy. Ghost is a good pick up and added Forwards would be awesome. Should be exciting going into this trade season.

I believe Curtis Joseph played in 3 all star games in his career, Dwayne Roloson in 3 and Tommy Salo played in 2. I think Skinner is the only Oilers goalie to make the all stars team as a rookie😀. It’s crazy that there are 2 rookie goalies on the all star team this year, the other being Logan Thompson.
Re: heritage classic jerseys…the Mercuries jersey would look good, but (a) if it's in Oilers colours then it will look a lot like the jersey they wore in the last heritage classic and (b) given the age of the alumni who will be playing, it may be time to break out the Cooper and Navy look of the 90's

I'd go for Toews and Schenn. Toews playing with one of the studs and being a faceoff specialist could help make the push for lord Stanley's Cup 🙏
