Rutherford wasn’t my ideal candidate to replace Benning, but when he came in, I thought he would at least be a more competent leader and that the organization would stop being viewed as a shitshow nationally. Sadly that hasn’t been the case.

Very well said by all. Tocchet wants to get back into coaching so it makes sense he would take it, as would an AHL coach if they were offered. But if Jon Cooper were fired, as an example, a coach of his caliber isn’t coming to Vancouver after seeing a very public breakup and a very likeable coach break down on TV because of how poorly he’s treated
