He had the balls to tell Yotes fans that it's gonna take 5-7 years to make this organization a consistent Stanley Cup contender. Our best prospects are in Jr. High right now. Unless the new owners pony up the mega millions necessary to sign a slew of top free agents. Are they up for that? If not, why buy a floundering NHL franchise with a history of failure both on the ice and in the front office??
Bill Armstrong is the best interview of a GM that's openly tanking a season. He's great at subtly changing the subject and telling old school hockey tales. He's so cool and above it all that he doesn't have a single shit to give about outside opinions. And he put together a Stanley Cup winning team that was competitive for years. I know it's hard but stay patient.
