  1. So glad the Jets took Zach instead of Justin from all Bear's fan's. Wish Steve could have a conversation with Justin, if he can develop a passing game he'll be so dangerous!!!

  2. Essentially the same with WR who have speed. Most speedy WR can’t really catch, so if you teach them how to catch, they won’t forget how to run fast.

  3. eh Steve young is a fellow mormon so of course he'd be sympathetic to Wilson. But the reality is that simple plays are extremely difficult for Wilson. Daniel Jones struggled more so with personnel. Bad O-line, bad WR's… Wilson has better O-line play and better weapons… yet he still struggles.

  4. Running is great, but QBs are paid to throw well and not to run and get injured.

  5. This is the best analysis by a former Quarterback I have heard yet. I completely agree. It's like they regressed him early and slowly they let him build and build and then suddenly about a month ago or so they took the training wheels off and he just looks so good out there.

  6. So glad Steve Young said this. Go ask Troy Aikman what happened to his career when Norv Turner showed up. Instead of tossing these guys in a dumpster how about finding someone that believes in them and wants to work with them and unlock their potential.

  7. Steve Young should just shut the F up about Zach Wilson. He sucks. I don't give a F that he's a family friend and a fellow Mormon. Steve Young has lost all credibility and is just embarrassing himself

  8. Good points by Steve Young. Zach Wilson makes the hard look easy and the easy look hard. Mike White made the easy look easy and the hard look doable. If Zach figures out how to make the easy look easy, he'll be golden. I just don't know if he can.

  9. I'm old enough to remember Sid Gillman as the Chargers coach-Tobin Rote, John Hadl. Gillman was a football pioneer. Hard to believe, but he was the FIRST coach to have a physical fitness assistant coach-all the other coaches let a player lift weights if they felt like it, but made no requirements for that. He was also a pioneer in another way-he had bowls of speed pills in the locker room, and instructed his players to take their "medicine" before the game. In fairness to Gillman, in the early sixties when he coached MDs were prescribing the stuff for weight loss like it was nothing. Nobody then knew of the debilating effects of those pills.

  10. Coaching matters Daniel Jones Bern had the talent and the brain just needed someone to bring it out

  11. personally I think these brilliant minds understand that if they give DJ a mathematical solution and break down the field as a geometric figure and certain people think differently. DJ can make all the throws now it seems like it slowed down for him at least last week

  12. I was actually asking my self who did Daniel Jones story most remind me of, and it was in fact Steve Youngs. It's a very similar story.

Steve was asked to step into impossible odds. To lead a storied franchise in the place of greats. Not exactly exceptional in any one aspect, yet he was just good enough to stay out of his own way.

I see much in Danny today, that I saw in Steve back then. Especially in his ability to be an exceptionally effective runner.

  13. He white and went to same school so he going to take up for him .. Zac is trash 🗑️ an over hyped white kid get rid of him

  14. D. Jones is not some great QB all of a sudden…My Vikings defense made many mediocre QB's look great this season!

  15. He is 100% right about Wilson. Who knows if he can be a good qb, but his hc sold him out just so he didn’t get fired. Jones has a supportive hc, Wilson has a hc who is constantly throwing him under the bus.

  16. I was lucky enough to meet Steve in person while in the Bay Area and he is even better to talk to in a small group. I got the impression he really cares about people and is incredibly smart.
