I’m getting to the point where I can’t take this average team stuff. Win or tank
The penalties are atrocious, 7 against Carolina was a death sentence. I did feel the Florida game was officiated brutally and one-sided, missing a trip on Zuccarello and then the high-stick on Addison right in front of the ref on Florida’s 4th and deciding goal. It doesn’t mask how Steel is starting to slide a bit and the nights we get average goaltending, like the last two, we get exposed. Greenway to me is on the fence, Dumba is gone and to be honest, a distraction now. For the first time in a while, I’m not sure what I’m watching. It can be a too many men on the ice penalties, Hartman continuing his whatever it is he is doing to Dumba turning over pucks. Add in the Grief Line getting trapped for over a minute, lost draws and heaven forbid, missed nets. It seems we miss more open nets then any other team. We lose two in a row and EVERYBODY seems to keep winning. Hell, I’m even routing for the Calgary’s, Edmonton, King’s to lose thinking we may be in a wildcard battle come March. Weird, my perception has changed so quickly knowing Tampa is waiting and we are not playing solid fundamental hockey right now..
