While tonight was a setback for team tank. All is not lost they play Seattle on a back to back tomorrow and coming out of the all star break they go on a tough 4 game Eastern Conference road trip. So losses will come. Plus this team will get a lot worse after the trade deadline.

It’s just nice that the Canucks for once did not 1) blow a lead, 2) get scored on shorthanded, 3) give up a shorthanded goal, 4) give a star player on the other team a milestone goal, or 5) give a player on the other team a hattrick.

  3. Bonkeycat

id smoke crack with tochett any day. oh wait that was stevens nvm.

  4. joeyandkuma

    Sign horvat
    Trade our first for a 3-4 D

instead of missing the playoffs by 10-12 points lets try to miss them by 4-6 points

  5. Few-Garlic-9489

Great win boys !!! Let’s go on a heater barely miss the playoffs and draft 15th 👍

  6. allenbraxton

I thought OEL, Miller, Garland, Petey, Kuzy and Joshua were all really solid on both sides of the puck tonight.

Dakota Joshua also officially owns a second home, rent free, inside Max Domi’s head

  7. Lower_H8r_esef

Congrats! Ethan Bear and wife just had a cub!!

Edit: He confirmed it on his IG story

  8. YojimboAP

yay? 25’ish +/- years watching this team, idk what to think any more, it’s mostly just pure apathy nowadays. Sorry for being a bummer on a win, but I think a crash and burn season needs to happen this year

  9. g0kartmozart

Holy shit, locker room interviews! Selfishly, that’s a very positive change.

Edit: or is it a change? Looks like they were in the room after the season opener too. I’m thinking maybe Sportsnet just doesn’t show it most games.

  10. Horvat with nearly 24 minutes to lead all skaters on the first half of a b2b 💀

  11. joeyandkuma

Woooohoooo we beat chicago!!! we are elite.

Let’s pull a benning, resign horvat, trade our first and 2nd rounder and go all in to miss the playoffs by 4-6 points.

  12. GangreneMachine

Stupid fucking team is going to draft in the 11-15 range again

  13. bwoah07_gp2

A wins a win, can’t be unhappy with that. And I’m not. I can’t get behind the concept of tanking. Losing on purpose, no, can’t do that.

  14. Mikeywestside

Remember when Chicago used to terrorize us? Pepperidge Farm remembers. We might as well enjoy beating them while we can because they’re poised to lap us in the rebuild.

Especially if the unthinkable happens and they draft…I won’t even say it…

  15. joeyandkuma

this game has to be the low point of the season so far.

The only thing we had to look forward to — improving our odds at Bedard or even someone else like Fantilli, Carlsson or Mitchkov are wiped away

nothing against tochet or the new coaches.

Our players if they really cared about winning why didn’t they show up ready to work hard and win at the start of the year rather than waiting until we are eliminated then winning just enough to avoid us getting a player that will help us improve in the draft.

  16. TheGreatNathan

Fuck ownership and management. Coaching change mid season signals that they don’t want to tank, they don’t care about Bedard, winning ASAP is more important than building for the future. They haven’t learnt anything in the last 10 years. Fuck off

  17. nite_awol

I don’t think the people running this team even know who Bedard is.

  18. joeyandkuma

well the only positive left in this season was a small chance that we would have a good lotto chance at Bedard or someone else good. Now i’m convinced these guys care so much about the season now that we can’t make the playoffs for us to finish somewhere like 12-15 so we have zero chance at bedard or the playoffs and we can look forward to another decade or more of missing the playoffs too.

  19. Well i don’t want to lose tomorrow because I want to hold onto Seattle not winning against us. Then just a solid losing streak after

  20. green_desk

do you think the players gave Boudreau the belt to keep after the last game?

  21. CheesecakeMurky7800

I fuckin like this guy listening to Rick’s post game right now he’s got a good mind for the game
